A decent hotel, very good service, everyone is friendly and really trying to help, there are beautiful views around - mountains, sea - it's just love. They brought a sweet greeting card to our room for Christmas. As already mentioned, the hotel belongs to Shangri-le, respectively, a large area for walking. Every day except Friday, you can sign up for a shuttle to the city: 2 shopping malls, a market, museums. Good food, red fish for breakfast every day - refilled until the end of breakfast, capsule espresso coffee, lots of juices to choose from + a variety of standard breakfast items: scrambled eggs, muesli, sliced, hash browns, sausages, bacon, etc. At dinners every day there were seafood, fish, a variety of meat, a barbecue station (kebabs, seafood, vegetables), and standard salads, side dishes, etc. There were no overly spicy dishes, the sharpness was within the norm. We took a family room for 3 adults - these are 2 full-fledged separate rooms, which have plus 1 common door. The rooms are fresh, there are big TVs, the bathrooms have a bathtub and a shower, each room has a balcony with a corner view of the sea, but judging by the appearance of the building, each room will have some kind of sea view, possibly except for the 1st floor. Although the building is considered a family building, we, adults without children, were absolutely not bothered by anything, no extraneous sounds or other discomfort. What I didn't like was the weather in January, I think it will be better in March) We swam in the sea - like a river in summer, heated pools, a lazy river is a cool thing. Additional entertainment - during our stay, an Indian wedding took place, the wedding lasted 3 days, as the hotel wrote in a warning letter - it really was a variety of colors and traditions that were interesting to watch, and which did not cause us the slightest discomfort as vacationers. A bonus. Info that always worries me, and I'm trying to find it in the reviews - you can smoke on balconies)) and there are often trash cans with ashtrays in the territory. I will consider the option of returning to a warmer period in the future.

Great location, the hotel is large, the area is clean, cleaning every day. There are many restaurants on site, so you can diversify your meals. An excellent seafood restaurant, the seafood is the freshest and they are prepared very tasty, the way you choose. The service is excellent, they always ask if you like everything and are always ready to fix or improve your stay. The massage is not expensive, it's just incredible, of course it's expensive, but it's worth it. Amazing Omani coffee, I often had it for breakfast, I really liked it! The buffet is varied: lots of vegetables, very tasty local grilled fish. Of the cons, probably only sooooo hot sand on the beach, even in flip-flops you walk like a hot coal)) therefore, it is better to take high-soled slippers with you. There is a lazy river on the territory, a special kind of lazy entertainment, we really liked to soak up and swim lazily in the sun. Stunning view from the room's balcony...you open the balcony door and immediately the sea...and such an indescribable beauty! I really want to come back again!

Let's start with the fact that this hotel called Al Waha 5* is part of the triumvirate of the Shangri-La Oriental hotel chain and stands on the coast third in a row, after the Al Husn 5* and Al Bandar 5* hotels, which are conceptually different. Location - Muscat Airport is 47 km from the hotel and it takes ~ 40-45 minutes by car. The entrance to the hotel is through a small tunnel cut into the rock. The hotel building consists of three-storey buildings connected together, and a swimming pool is located in the center of the territory. Our building was closer to the football field and playground. Room - Superior Sea View Room ~30-33 m2 with balcony, windows overlooking the Gulf of Oman. It has a large double bed with two bedside tables, an armchair bed and a coffee table, a desk with a table lamp, a mini-bar, a kettle (cups, spoons, glasses), tea bags, coffee, sugar and cream, TV, excellent Wi-Fi (worked throughout the territory), but a very, very small closet.☝️ Every day they laid out little animals on our bed, out of towels, and decorated them with flower petals.😂2 bottles (0.5 liters) of drinking water per nose are given per day. There are few sockets and it is necessary to take adapters - standard ones from lpad and lphon will do.Bathroom: combined, with shower and bathtub, equipped with everything you need - bathrobes, slippers, toothbrushes with paste, shaving kit, shower gel, shampoo and lotion, intimate hygiene kit, sewing kit, shower cap, hair band. The faucets are pretty good and work fine. Hygienic shower (for men, but since the water is warm, it will suit us) with high pressure, but there is no brush. Breakfast and dinner (buffet) struck with their national diversity, where in 4 days everything is real and you can't try it. A lot of fruits and natural juices, hot dishes (two types of porridge), grilled fish and meat, assorted seafood, pasta, potatoes in different guises, rice, a variety of soups.👍👍👍That's just for breakfast it's better to eat inside, since the outdoor area is not protected by a grid and flocks of crows mercilessly grab plates with food brought to the table.👎 Alcohol is available, but expensive, as in any Arab country - beer 0.5 = 5 OMR ~ 1,250 rubles, and a bottle of 0.7 sparkling wine = 48 OMR ~ 12,000 rubles. I counted three restaurants that can be visited (19 OMR) - 🐟fish, 🇹🇭Asian and 🇮🇹Italian. Beach : it is ~ 400 m with gray sand, quite clean, but the entrance to the sea is only on the edges of the Al Bandar and Al Waha hotels, the water is clean and very warm. Beach towels are of very good quality (beige color), they are issued without deposit and without restrictions. 👍👍👍There are water activities - kayak, sapboard, sailing boats, jet ski = 25 OMR, etc. The most fun entertainment here for children after the slide is the “lazy river” - cheesecake rides along the winding riverbed from one hotel to another and back, which is popular with adults too!😃 Fauna : there are two 🐪🐪camel 🐴horse and ponies for riding, in addition to the Raven, you can see white and gray Heron on the rocks of the beach 🦇bats, crabs 🦀and natural 🐠fish. The service staff is completely customer-oriented, impeccably polite, smiling and ready to fulfill any request.👆You can use the pools, sun beds, umbrellas, tennis court, take walks on the territory of 2 hotels, you can completely freely, but the entrance to the territory of Al Husn 5* is reserved for you. If you want peace and quiet, then choose the neighboring hotel - Al Bandar 5*, as there are a lot of kids in this one, and (noticed) less in that one!☝️4 delightful days flew by unnoticed, I highly recommend this place.👍

Shangri La al Bandar is a hotel for a relaxing and measured stay. The audience is international and respectable . The Al Waha building is more noisy, active, and child-friendly. Because we wanted a quiet, peaceful vacation, we chose the Al Bandar building. I liked the service at the hotel; the reception area and the room cleaners work excellently. Restaurants and bars : they don 't always have time to cope if there is a large flow of tourists . It was like this on January 1-2 . Since January 3, many Europeans have left, there are a lot fewer people, and the service in the catering area has improved. The hotel itself is beautiful, in an Arabic style. We found an Indian wedding - a stunningly colorful sight. The only negative is the high prices for everything ( a glass of wine or champagne - 2.5 thousand , cocktails 2-3 thousand , ice cream - 1 thousand , dinner at Al Taron restaurant - about 8 thousand per adult ( without drinks). And the sea is wonderful, warm, and there are always plenty of free sun beds.

A great place to relax! A very beautiful sea, well-groomed territory, excellent swimming pools, a lazy river are a special pleasure for everyone: both adults and children have fun. Very hospitable staff, friendly, very customer-oriented, always ready to help solve any issue. Excellent cuisine wherever you go. The beach is very convenient, you can sunbathe under palm trees and there is always a place under umbrellas. We were very happy to be here!

My husband and I spent wonderful days at the Al Bandar Hotel. If you are without children, then Al Bandar is perfect for you. There is peace and quiet here! We had a superior room, a room with a huge and comfortable bed! The hotel itself is surrounded by greenery. Fantastic breakfast! A huge selection of everything! And what a gorgeous and rich interior! It's like being a guest of the Sultan. We really enjoyed the SPA. We went in the evening around 19:00 and were always alone. Men and women are separated. There is a hammam and a hot tub Jacuzzi. And of course, a great beach. The beach is clean, the entrance is convenient. It's an amazing place!

And everything seems to be fine, but I won't go to this hotel anymore. A family-friendly hotel. The rooms are small. There are family rooms, these are two connect rooms. But due to the fact that the hotel is expensive, parents try to put the child third and fourth in the room. At the New Year's Eve dinner, this resulted in a shortage of seats at a pre-booked table. The parents booked seats for themselves, and since we arrived later, they placed the children in our seats, and we were advised to wait, since the children still need to be put to bed in half an hour. The administration solved the problem, and a new table was set for us. There is no animation for children. Cartoons are shown only in the evening. Pools with heated water. The breakfasts are varied and quite tasty. The hotel is located at a distance from the city, the city can be reached by a hotel shuttle. There are many restaurants in the hotel, I attach the price tags of the restaurants. There are 2.7 dollars in one Omani real. There are three of us, so it turns out that any lunch or dinner costs more than $300. The price-quality ratio is clearly not in favor of quality.

An excellent hotel, the rooms are not new, but quite, the food is varied and delicious, the territory is large, a swimming pool, a beach with sun beds, umbrellas and towels, several bars (open until 23-00), you can see turtles in the sea.

A new hotel, a warm clean sea and that's it. The hotel is positioned as a children's hotel, but apart from a modest children's room (without animation) there is nothing in it. There are no banal swings. 2. Do not leave any deposits, because the staff tries to find you at every opportunity, carefully check the amounts of checks and what they bring to you for signature, if something is wrong, then demand to correct the amount in front of you, we faced this every day. 3. And definitely this hotel is not worth the money, the real cost is 3 times less. 4. The cuisine is very specific, from the classic only pasta, the rest is strongly spiced. There is only a sign from the children's table.

We were in October 2023, at the very end of the hot season. There were few visitors, you can book an evening at any place, the entrance to the Arabian Sea is pleasant, I liked it more from the "children's part" of the hotel. Slow River is a great entertainment for all ages! A children's paddling pool with cooled water (it was relevant). The service itself is on top. When registering for a prescription, you are given a whatsapp number. You throw any question there - they solve it within 5-10 minutes at most. Book hotels, too, through this room. It is very convenient and really fast! I will be happy to return there. If you need marine entertainment, then there are also available. The only thing is, it's time for them to update the kayaks.

We had a rest in August of the 23rd year. We liked everything! A great family hotel. An oasis in the desert. Several large pools (one is a lazy river). Beautiful sea with a convenient approach. Lots of restaurants for every taste.

A very beautiful place, although it is difficult to swim in the sea- waves. But it is compensated by a beautiful swimming pool and an artificial handle. But be careful - the staff is cunning.
