Prices for holidays in Turkey have skyrocketed. Previously, everyone tried to have a 5-star vacation, but now we have to carefully choose hotels based on the price-quality ratio in the 3-4-star segment. And I want to say that the Merve Sun hotel is an excellent option for this ratio. I was 100% satisfied with the rest, as I knew all the nuances in advance. I will tell you about them further. 1) Yes, the hotel is not on the first line. But it takes 8-10 minutes to walk to the beach at a comfortable pace. The time depends on which side you will be walking around the Corolla Hotel and whether you want to walk along the boardwalk at the end of the way. There is a transfer service. The road is not stressful, even with a wheelchair there will be no problems. 2) On the beach there are sun beds, umbrellas (I don't like awnings), a shower and a changing room. The toilet is on the other side of the beach bar across the boardwalk. Beachboy is a very pleasant, good-natured man, but he is active only for tips. Bookings sun beds on the first line for tips. The beach is clean. There are no strong drinks in the beach bar. Water in cups, coffee machine, soda and juices from the vending machine, beer. Lunch from 12-30. It consists of burgers, French fries, some vegetables and fruits. A wonderful woman bakes gozleme during lunch. There are not very many tables in the bar, they are occupied by the beginning of lunch. 3) There are always a lot of people in the sea opposite the beach, I moved to the left to the beach of the Paloma hotel, for some reason their sun beds were empty (I was in early September). You can take coral slippers, there are slabs under the water, small stones at the entrance. There are big rocks in front of the Paloma Hotel, they are not visible, I touched my foot a couple of times. You need to be especially careful in a storm. The depth does not increase dramatically. The beach is not perfect because of the natural features (rocks). Further towards Evrenseki/Cholakli there is a huge strip of beach without piers and stones in the water, but there are quite large waves in the evenings due to the wind. 4) I got a nice room with a view of the pool and the field at the same time. Animation thunders until 11-12 at night, a closed balcony does not save. Towels were changed every day, and bed linen was changed every three days. Soap and shampoo in dispensers on the wall. For some reason, they put two rolls of toilet paper a day sometimes. I was lucky with the maids, they even washed the floor on the balcony every time. There was a kettle, cups, tea and coffee bags in the room, and there was some water in cups in the mini-bar. 5) Beach towels are issued by card at the spa center on the 1st floor. The replacement is 50 cents. The towels are tired and too short. I took mine. 6) Wifi in the room is barely alive, it only caught stable at the front door. If you have to work, sit at the reception desk. There was almost no fishing in the restaurant at dinner in the evenings. 7) And the most interesting and controversial thing is nutrition. The hotel is trying very hard to make the most of its budget. The food is very good for 4 stars. The waiters try their best, the dishes are cleaned very quickly. But there is mismanagement on the distribution line. Take a rag and wipe the long–stained marmites, remove dust from the top of the tea station, rinse the dishes well after washing - you don't need a lot of money for this. The plates are streaked, wet, and the forks/spoons are sticky. Saucers are in short supply, dishes are chipped. Sliced fruits or cheese are sometimes already displayed. And at the same time, the chef comes out to the guests every day. That is, everyone is aware of these shortcomings, but they are too lazy to fix them. The stove where fried eggs and pancakes are fried has also been stained for a long time. I've seen hotel guests wipe their plates and forks with napkins before eating, I don't find fault with cleanliness. I didn't even think about dining at the beach bar for the same reason, they keep even less clean there. Let's omit the details of cleanliness and praise the food. Yes, the assortment is the same every day. But you're not in the luxury five, you can find something delicious. The barbecue area by the pool is outside (in the mornings they put pancakes and cookies there). There's something themed at the dinners every day: macaroni in a cheese head, potatoes with fillings, shawarma. In the main hall, chicken or turkey slices with vegetables, liver were found. There are many side dishes. My compliments to the desserts – they are delicious, beautiful, different, lots of Turkish sweets every day. Delicious fruits are picked at the beginning of the dinner – nectarines, bananas. Watermelons are replenished constantly, even at the end of dinner. Ice cream cone once a week at 20-30, the days change. Ayran draught in the lobby. At 15:30, cookies and some buns/cupcakes are displayed by the pool. They bake waffles on the beach somewhere in the area of three, I noticed it a couple of times. In fact, there is no food between lunch and dinner if you missed lunch. People drink beer and wine from alcohol, I haven't seen any colorful cocktails at all. Water in cups is freely available. 8) The contingent is mostly German pensioners. Some staff will understand Russian at the reception. The entire reception is friendly. Animation in German. The hotel is calm. Bottom line: the hotel is working out its cost. Especially among other 4-star hotels with our tour operators. Good price-quality ratio. I only have complaints about the cleanliness of the restaurant.

We have been to this hotel with our family three times, and each time he confirms that it is worth returning here. The rooms are neat, clean, and cozy - just what you need when you want a relaxing holiday. The hotel itself is small, almost family-friendly in atmosphere. Special thanks to the chefs — the food here is really good. Everything is delicious, homey. Cleaning is done on time, without reminders. The pools are in good condition. Yes, there is no extensive cultural program or high-profile entertainment, but for those who come for the sea, sun and tranquility, this place is perfect. Quiet family vacation.

If you understand what to expect from a 4* hotel, then everything is quite good. I'll start with the pros: 1.Location - the hotel is very conveniently located in terms of transportation, pharmacies and shops. There is an opportunity to take a bus to different parts, including Nova Mall and antique Side. You need to walk to the beach in 15 minutes or take a shuttle (runs regularly) 2. the beach and the beach bar have a sufficient number of sun beds, the entrance to the sea is sandy, the bar is quite diverse in food and cakes are baked. Drinks: beer, tea, lemonade and juice 3. The rooms are spacious enough, everything works, although not "fresh". At the expense of noise, rooms facing the road are not the best option, they are worn there all night. Or buy earplugs at a pharmacy 4. food - the food is varied, but adjusted for 4*. The chefs are great, they're always coming up with something. Some days they make shawarma, then they grill fish, then something else. They always bake fresh tortillas in the morning. Ice cream every night and as much as you want. 5 desserts are beyond praise, just bombastic and varied. 6 nice pool with sun loungers and a slide in the courtyard Towels are provided for the beach 7. The pedestrian promenade is within walking distance and it goes to the ancient Side - a great place for evening walks. On the cons: 1. The Russian language is just a problem, learn German, everyone speaks it here as if it were their native language. On the one hand, and no matter how modern means solve this issue, but - all the animation (there is enough of it every evening) is in German! Therefore, in the evening, either to the embankment, or to the antique Side, or various other options. 2 they smoke wherever possible - there are tables around the pool, Germans are sitting behind them and everyone is smoking, smoking on the beach, smoking on the balconies. Moreover, they don't smoke electronic nipples, but cigarettes, which are often very smelly. Therefore, only lovers of tobacco smoke can have breakfast (lunch, dinner) at tables along the pool. It's more difficult on the beach, but you can drag the sunbed to the very end of the beach. Overall, the hotel may not be the best, but it is ideally suited for the price-quality ratio. The sea in Side is magnificent, with sandy beaches
