Unexpectedly interesting, especially archeological findings. I wish there would be a book about all archeological sites in Serbia with maps, good pictures and historical information.

The most excellent museum, which we got to for free one Sunday (which is very pleasing in Serbia — about once a month admission is free to all museums!), there are 3 floors telling about the Serbs and Serbia in general since ancient times. The higher you go, the newer the time, and there is already modern art and a cafe on the third floor. There are Van Gogh, Rembrandt, and Picasso among the paintings. The espositions are very cool, I am very pleased with the visit, I recommend it to everyone!

The National Museum of Serbia is a European—level cultural center that absolutely lives up to its name. It is not just a "repository of antiquities", but a place where the thousand-year history of the Balkan people comes to life. The richest collection: from Roman mosaics and medieval Serbian icons to paintings by European geniuses (Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir). The main hits: the famous painting "The Great Migration of the Serbs" by Paja Jovanovic and the golden treasures. Excellent organization: spacious, logical, modern. Good location: on the main square of the Republic.

An interesting museum. From ancient Rome to the artists of the 18th century.. The inscriptions are in Serbian and English. An average of three hours will take a leisurely viewing of the exhibits.

They were, they ticked the box)) don't expect hype masterpieces, but Dali and Chagall, for example, are. A very interesting room is a safe with coins and banknotes from different eras.

Three floors of happiness for the curious. There are many interesting exhibits. Suddenly I met a mummy at the entrance of the third floor. A huge number of works by both local artists and world art legends (Picasso, Matisse, van Gogh). Admission is free on Sunday, I came to the opening and there were already a lot of visitors. There are many tour groups. No audio guide was offered. There is a cafe on the third floor (self-service on Sunday - there are vending machines). The entrance ticket has a wi-fi password.

We visited the museum in Belgrade on Saturday. Be careful, it works from 12-00. I liked the museum, 3 floors are divided thematically. The works of world-famous authors, paintings and sculptures are presented. Serbian art is also represented from the beginning of the millennium to the present day. There are many works by contemporary authors. In addition to the exposition, the museum building itself, built at the beginning of the twentieth century, is of interest. I recommend you to visit.

Nice little collection, very cheap tickets, a little surprised by the complete lack of protection from Bosch and Rembrandt. Bad light, although this is almost a global trend. There are some questions for the staff who make village gatherings from the national museum, but the bosses should think about this, not the visitors.

I wasn't looking for cons. I liked everything here. The collections are interesting, the halls are not overloaded with exhibits, it is very convenient to view. You can even sit down if you are tired or want to admire something longer. Suitable for visiting with children. The staff is very friendly and the guides tell interesting stories.

The collection of archaeological and historical exhibits is extensive, the exhibition halls are spacious and well-lit, but some areas lack modern information panels. The opening hours until 18:00 are suitable for a daytime visit, but we would like more materials in English.

After visiting Belgrade, you must definitely visit this museum! Exhibits from the origin of mankind, the first people in Serbia to our times. There are art galleries. Life in World War 2 and in Yugoslavia is not much shown. If there were Russian-language audio guides, it would be more interesting.

I highly recommend visiting the museum. 3 floors. And it's definitely impossible to get around all the exhibits in an hour. It is better to allocate more time) There are many originals: Picasso, Degas, Kandinsky, Chagall, Modigliani...Serbian artists are also represented. I really enjoyed it.

We didn't expect such a gorgeous display. You can walk for days. We got there by accident, because of the bad weather. The children were not bored. There are many halls. There are many paintings. The originals of Picasso, Chagall, MONET, etc. Not very famous. But no less masterful. We were satisfied.

I didn't really like the museum... The first floor is even more or less interesting (it is dedicated to archaeological finds, there are unique old coins, medals, etc.), but the second floor is a boring art gallery, which is nothing compared to the Russian Museum))))

Well, it's beautiful, there are a lot of good paintings. One problem is that the lighting is spot-on as usual, so you have to shake your head like a fool to dodge the glare, but this happens in many galleries.

Republic square can be called the heart of Belgrade, it contains many historical and important buildings around it, I visited in August 2025 at a time when road and pavement works were carried out extensively, despite the construction, it continues to be an area that people visit very often, The national museum is located right on the square, it is a very nice idea to hand over a huge building to art, Museum entrance and exit hours vary according to the days, I can say that in addition to being beautiful works in content, it falls short of my expectations, Admission is 300 dinars, if you want to pass through the current exhibition area, 600 dinars are paid, the current museum is 2. The floor is located in the inner part of the left side, 2. There is a small cafe relaxation area on the floor, it is very well thought out, I recommend a visit

When visiting Belgrade, I definitely recommend visiting this museum! Three floors of the history of Serbia, plus the fact that the museum itself is not loaded with exhibits pleases, the ticket price is classic in the area of our 300-350 rubles, you can take an audio guide, in English or in Serbian! After the museum, you begin to understand the country, customs and culture more, and some things don't seem so wild anymore!

I really liked the museum. It is relatively compact, it will not take a full day (considering that my knowledge of languages does not allow me to fully delve into the exposition of the 1st floor, mostly just to look) I really liked the collection of early Middle Ages and paintings. And there is also a small hall where performances take place during the season, or you can wait out the rain. On the 1st floor there is a souvenir shop, on 3 self-service cafes (a cozy lounge and vending machines)

A great museum! I definitely visit Belgrade every time. A wonderful exhibition of paintings: A vintner, a Drowned woman, a portrait of Princess Persia, "Beogradanka". The saddest thing is there are amazing portraits "for the Dutch school" with the inscription on the sign "unknown artist".
