The kitchen is spacious, two electric stoves. In the evenings, Uzbeks cook dinner in huge pots for the whole room.

The hostel is old, such communications as plumbing and electrics cannot be completely restored and made modern as in new buildings, so hot water often disappears, banal repairs of rotten pipelines. To complete all the work, you will need to close the hostel for at least a year. That's probably when students form when they have to pay $ 300 for an apartment instead of 30 rubles for accommodation. DD is normal, the janitors are also normal. Of course, they can flare up, but so can all people. We were lucky not to meet cockroaches. The location of the hostel is also good, close to the metro, close to tram tracks, a dining room, lots of shawarma bars, a recreation center, near a 24-hour Riga, a 15-minute walk to the university. She shows exceptional attention to detail and strives to create comfortable living conditions for students. She is always ready to listen to our suggestions and wishes, and does her best to satisfy them. Thanks to her organizational skills and responsible approach, Dorm number 1 always maintains a high level of cleanliness and order. In addition, Hostel number 1 provides various amenities that make your stay even more comfortable. The communal kitchen is equipped with all necessary cooking equipment, and is always clean and tidy. There is also a laundry room and a living room where students can spend time together and socialize.

But this will not happen, because THOSE WHO LIVE HERE ARE THE LAST TO BE THOUGHT OF. 2. The Shower Is Not round the clock. It works from 8 to midnight, but the schedule is floating, because everything depends on the responsibility of the attendant. Many people take a magazine at 8 and go to bed until 9, not thinking about the people who belong to the first couple. Showers are not available on all floors. At the same time, they are on duty at all. What for? To wash the stoves, which the cleaner washes every day? You don't have to sit in the hallway for 8 hours to do this. Every shower is terrible in its own way. Somewhere there is no pressure, somewhere only one of the two works. There are so few of them, what prevents you from doing it normally? They work on a special schedule on weekends. Three showers per dorm, as a rule. 3. Perpetual repairs As a result: drilling in the morning (for some reason it cannot be done at lunch), power and water outage FOR 6 HOURS, there has been no hot water for months 4. Elevators They work from 8 to 23 (in fact, until 22:20). There are no words. There are two elevators in the dorm, can you work hard not to turn them off at least until one o'clock in the morning? People have trains, they don't really want to drag themselves to the eleventh floor on foot after arriving with bags. And considering that mostly senior students live in this dorm, many work in the second shift. I came back - and you can't wash or cook, because the stoves are not around the clock. 5. The attitude of the administration The mothers fancied themselves queens, to whom everyone owed. They complain about their own responsibilities, looking down on everyone. Male employees love to agree with them, it is not entirely clear for what purpose. The caregivers come without warning and rummage through the bedside tables. When you tell them that you can't just come and go at any moment, they get offended and write protocols for all sorts of nonsense (for example, clothes are lying on the bed). 6. Payment Another disadvantage, because for some reason we have to pay for such conditions. Moreover, for a second, more than for the second dorm (round-the-clock elevators, shower in each block). It is not entirely clear why those living on the 12th floor pay the same as those living below 7. There is no shower or constant water on the 12th. Considering the peculiarities of the elevators, it becomes especially sad. advice: Apply for the dorm of the trade union committee. Even the worst version of them will be 10 times better than this dorm.
