We saw this church on the way. Neat, well-maintained, antique. A quiet and peaceful place, ideally suited to the atmosphere of the church. It was a pity, it was closed. Judging by the comments, it is open only during the service.

This is not the first time we have visited this quiet and peaceful place on the way to the Augustow Canal, we specially turn off the main road to enjoy the special atmosphere of this unusual place, it is pleasant to walk around the courtyard of the church, sit inside the church in cool silence and put our thoughts in order... and when you leave, you take away a good mood and new reserves of strength!!!

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Yasofat Kuntsevich. The church in the former suburb of Sopotskina-Teolin was built in 1789. After the suppression of the national liberation uprising of 1863-64, the church was closed by the tsarist authorities, and in 1879 the building was transferred to the Moscow church. A convent is located here. In 1916, the church was returned to the Catholics. In 1935-39, the church was rebuilt by the efforts of priests Peter Kotlevsky and Jozef Perkovsky. During the Second World War, the building was significantly damaged. After the war, the believers restored the building at their own expense. In Soviet times, the temple was not closed, in the 1980s two towers were built on the main facade. Inside there are a number of memorial signs and beautiful stained glass windows.
