They haven’t cleaned it once in a week, and we still pay money for some stains, but they don’t remove them themselves, the air conditioner barely blows, the sink doesn’t drain, 1 star is deserved

In September, I moved my daughter into this dormitory. There was very little information on the Internet for me, so I will try to write what was news to me and caused difficulties. This complex is located 25 km from the center of Dubai, and is certainly beneficial for those who study nearby in Academic city. For those who study at Knowledge park, free shuttles are organized, which are comfortable buses with air conditioning (unlike other dormitories, they have easier transportation). The Shuttle schedule seemed convenient at first, but in fact we have to constantly adjust: in the morning they go every hour, then less often, and in the evening there are even more gaps. The schedule on weekdays differs from the schedule on weekends. On weekends, they take you to the beaches, to the center, to the malls. But return flights return no later than 18:00, and it turns out that on a weekend evening, either in the dorm or by taxi. Yes, and the bus leaves as soon as the seats are full, you can not stand. Those who arrived even on time may not be able to make it. So everyone arrives 25-15 minutes before departure. In fact, in the morning/evening during rush hour, the bus goes at least 1 hour to DKP. I mentioned a taxi - it's expensive and especially if you drive from the center. It will be cheaper to get to the terminus of the Central point red line and take a taxi, but it will take a long time. In the hostel itself there is a small shop, a cafe and a Starbucks. The food is mostly spicy with spices, and it's difficult to buy something without sauces. You can go to Starbucks, but it's expensive. Although there are kitchens on every floor, they are mostly cooked by Hindus and leave behind dirt. That's why almost everyone prefers shipping. We have a studio that we have booked since May. In principle, it is cozy, 1 set of linen is provided and that's it (there is not even a toilet brush). In order for me to buy a second such set made of natural fabric, I had to spend 3 days and travel around 3 huge malls ((( There just wasn't such a wonderful size. It's good that the guards can take a cart and take either the suitcases or the utensils they bought, and there are a lot of them. Don't count on shared irons and ironing boards - they're dead. He'll just have to buy everything for a living. And if a student arrives alone, it will not be easy for him without even physical help)) bring all the mops, boards and dishes, etc. I don't understand where they put it all when they're evicted.… You can transfer something for a little money to the new ones. The reception guys are very open, they always help, they answer all questions. You can communicate via WA. With rare exceptions, they react quickly. When checking in, they ask you to check everything, and if there are malfunctions, they immediately solve the problem, and then you are responsible for the breakdown once the number is accepted. Cleaning is done once a week, but of poor quality. All the guys have bought brooms and mops and are cleaning themselves. The water in everyone's shower is very hot and doesn't get cool at all, at least for now. Some of the lucky ones have a peculiar smell from the pipes in the toilet, which we, for example, cannot cope with by any means. There are washing machines and dryers in each building, but you can't get to them during rush hour in the evenings. I have to look for windows on weekdays)) There is a garbage chute on each floor. The territory itself with fountains and benches is beautiful and cozy. It was a joy for me that the window opens slightly, because in hotels there is no such thing if there is no balcony. There is security, but in fact everyone passes (parents, children from other locations, and anyone else). But you can't get into the building without a card unless someone guides you. In short, an expensive dorm with its own pros and cons. I hope I helped someone.

A cool dormitory for students. Not like in Russia. There is a rooftop pool, a game area with consoles and a company, billiards, air hockey, etc... a washing room with dryers. Overall, it's a great place. On the downside, there is no supermarket within walking distance.

There is no way to compare it with other similar establishments. Well, a dorm and a dorm.. There are no towels, no clothes hangers. The rooms are cleaned and the linen is changed once a week. In public places, especially kitchens, of course, people will "shit up", but they put things in order quickly. It is located on the outskirts, but there is a free shuttle service to the "cluster" of educational institutions :) It takes 50 minutes or an hour to drive. It's true that the price tag I paid for staying here turned out to be the same as in a normal hotel room with breakfast (perhaps because it was off-season in July-August)

During his studies at the English path English School, he lived in this residence. Buses to the center of Dubai from early morning to late evening according to the schedule. Friendly staff, on-site shop, equipped kitchen, laundry room on the floor. The room is clean and everything is working properly

From the good: safe territory, security, rooftop pool. There is a convenience store where you can buy some vegetables, frozen, shampoos, pots, forks (dishes). Free bus to school, beach, some shops. You need to take or buy dishes and table cloths with you (there are none in the shared kitchen). From what I personally did not like: when checking in, they did not warn that if you spill coffee, juice on the duvet cover, for example, (the blanket did not touch, it was separate) then 115 dirhams will be charged upon eviction. Everything will be checked after you. And the payment will be a surprise. They check with a document with a list of furniture, items and cost. If I had seen this document and been warned at check-in that I would pay about 2500 rubles for a stain that is easy to wash, I would, of course, have washed it myself. I just had the last cash for a taxi, I had to give them half of it. And at night, wake up a friend, take cash from her and transfer it to a card. I didn't have a Union Pay card. This attitude was very disappointing. It's one thing to know and not do, another thing is not to know about these rules at all. At 5 a.m., it was a huge stress. They moved both me and my friend into a poorly cleaned room, there were other people's hair everywhere. They are cleaned once a week, the bed linen is not changed. The local canteen has a small selection of food and is tasteless. 20 dirhams for a modest package. The room was a single room, 13m. But cozy. Definitely not coming back. The school is 50-60 minutes one way, depending on traffic jams.

the rooms are not cleaned at all, and then they charge a lot of money for each stain. The food is monotonous and tasteless. The air conditioner does not work and the water drain is bad!

It's sooo inconvenient to get there. Only by transfer from Myriad or taxi. The staff is wonderful. If there were questions, they were quickly resolved

This is the most disgusting place I've ever been to! The main disadvantage is the administration. They will do ABSOLUTELY nothing and only make your stay worse every day. They will not respond to any request. Now the renovation has been done suddenly and there is such a sound that it feels like they are drilling right in your room. The kitchen often has a disgusting smell. There are cockroaches on floors 1 to 4. The room is cleaned disgustingly, if you need to fix the sink, they come and stand with their shoes on the carpet in the bathroom. We've replaced all the taps so that it's running a little bit now, otherwise God forbid for such and such money (about 170 tons per month), you'll waste their precious water. The walls are constantly being painted - there is a smell. They arrange parties every Fri-Sun so that it is impossible to sleep from the hum. When you ask to make it quieter, they say that we were warned that there would be a party (they are endless here). The sink is clogged every two weeks. In general, the service is the worst I've ever seen. A thigh-deep pool is for small children. The cherry on the cake is the smell in the area. Since there is no sewage system in Dubai, they bring absolutely all waste to the area and 2-3 times a week it stinks so much that it is impossible to leave without a gag reflex. The air conditioner also stinks. The administration does everything in parallel, they only imitate the work, or they can actually help in the first month so that you sign a contract with him. Oh yes, at the conclusion of the contract, if you want to move out earlier, you have to pay in full for a month. They use this and build their endless rules, which infringe on you more and more every day. The rooms themselves are beautiful and comfortable. Bed linen is not changed, for every little thing there will be a fine at check-out. Oh, the cleaners can also (!!) complain to the administration that you don't clean your room well (cleaning is included in the price once a week), for which you will be sent a letter that you will be evicted if you don't clean up. In the cafeteria, the food looks like it's for prisoners. There is no hair dryer, no kettle initially, nothing. In the kitchen, everything left behind (down to the pans and the air grill) can be permanently thrown out at one moment, because they decided so. Washing machines break down all the time, they don't fix them, and you have to spend about three hours doing your laundry. The dryers also don't work or work poorly. There are many more disadvantages, but the main ones are the disgusting, disgusting smell and the endless hum - sometimes from parties, sometimes from repairs. You won't be able to learn.
