There is great "date night" ambiance at Roast Beef, with low lighting, decent separation between tables, and an impressive wine menu. Drinks and food came quickly, with the appetizer coming out almost within 2 minutes of us ordering it. We had the tempura shrimp (was perfectly fried, but not much flavor without the sauces), the gnocchi, and veal medallions (absolutely delicious, tender, and perfectly cooked). I would not take kids here, but will probably return the next time we get a babysitter and find ourselves in that part of town.

Excellent restaurant, one of the best in Astana, great menu, quiet cosy atmosphere and very good service (and oysters on the menu!)
