A great place to spend an evening with friends or family. The interior of the Tau teahouse is made in a traditional oriental style: soft sofas, dim lights, textiles with national ornaments create a very cozy atmosphere. I especially liked the spacious hall and the presence of separate booths — convenient for those who want to retire or hold a business meeting. As for the cuisine, everything is top—notch. We ordered lagman, manti, dolma and pilaf. The portions are generous, the serving is beautiful, and the taste is like at home. Lagman with rich broth and stretching noodles, manti with juicy filling — without complaints. We also took tea with thyme and oriental sweets — served in bowls, everything is stylish and authentic. The staff is polite and the service is fast. The waiters are well-versed in the menu and can advise which is better to take. Separately, I would like to note the cleanliness — it's nice to be in the institution, even the bathrooms are in order. Prices are average in the city, but I consider the atmosphere, the quality of the food and the level of service quite justified. We booked the table in advance, as almost all the seats were occupied on Friday evening — a popular place, and this is understandable. I recommend Tau to anyone who wants to enjoy Oriental cuisine in a beautiful place with good service. I will definitely come back — I want to try their beshbarmak and khinkali, which were recommended at the next table.

The service at the summer playground is very lame (apparently students), I recommend going inside, they can't open champagne at all. I hope that only this time it didn't work out so well. ★☆☆☆☆ A terrible experience We visited Skullcap and were extremely disappointed. The food is a maximum of three: everything is bland, the meat is tough, the side dishes are tasteless. The service is a complete failure. The waiters seem to be doing a favor, not noticing the guests, neither greetings, nor basic attention. We waited for the order for almost 40 minutes with the hall half empty. The atmosphere is dull, dirty tables, no concern for customers. It's high time to close such an institution or completely change its management. I don't recommend it to anyone.

The five of us were on 06/22/2025. When ordering, they asked to make a separate bill, to which the waiter began to complain that he "does not remember", "you can not do that", "you will calculate it yourself, what is difficult for you?". The service is disgusting, considering that tips are already included in the bill. Also, the menu does not list all the ingredients of the dishes. The waiter doesn't pour the lemonade, doesn't even open the bottle. Plus, the toilet wasn't working. A bug was found in the kvass (photo attached). It's a pity, considering that there were no similar problems in another institution (also a Skullcap).

We visited the Skullcap restaurant on Dostyk (Samal1) for lunch. We are guests of the country and this was the first visit to the catering establishment of the city. They took beshbarmak - tasteless, they couldn't eat it, the pilaf was good and the bozbash was also normal. There are two beers on the menu - Russian and Belgian. Russian was not available, Belgium was ordered. The beer was sour, obviously spoiled, and only after the remark was poured fresh. The waiters are slow from the word at all. They brought both soup and hot at the same time, considering that we were sitting on the outdoor veranda, the hot had cooled down before we got to it. The price tag for this lunch turned out to be exorbitant about 15,500 Tons Over the next 3 days that we were in Kazakhstan, we spent less in other establishments with more decent cuisine than for this lunch. I do not recommend this restaurant chain to visit.
