Overall, it's not a bad hotel. It is located in the northern part of Kostanay. It is convenient if you enter by car from Russia through the Bugristoe border crossing. There is a huge parking lot for cars behind the hotel building, passenger cars are parked for free for the Island's guests, and 1500 trucks per day. Nearby is the largest shopping mall in the city - Kostanay Plaza. It is better to book through the Island's own website - they give a 5% discount and do not require prepayment. There are rooms for smokers - 2nd floor. For non-smokers - 3rd and 4th floor. However, as cigarette smoke rises up, including through ventilation, it also stinks of smoking in non-smoking rooms. And this is the main problem of this hotel - the smell of smoking is everywhere. The rooms are well furnished, I lived in the studio - there is everything I need: a small refrigerator, air conditioning, a huge bed, a large TV on the wall, a kettle and dishes, bathrobes, slippers. The plumbing is damaged, but everything is working. Towels are changed every day. Very tasty a la carte breakfasts, the cost of breakfast is about 2000t. The center of Kostanay can be reached by car in 10-15 minutes or by taxi in about 700-900t. Very friendly reception staff. An interesting system of estimated time is a day from the moment of arrival, that is, I checked in at 16:30, I have to leave before 16:30 the next day. If plans have changed and you need to leave earlier, they recalculate and refund the money for every full day. Upd 09.2025: Smoking was banned in all rooms, and that's a good thing.

We checked in at 13:00, but the room was not ready (check-in on the card from 12:00, on the website from 14:00). The room in the Ostrov building. The hotel left a mixed impression. We arrived at one-thirty in the morning, and there was a queue of people checking in at the reception. They settled in for a full day, and not until 12:00, which, I think, indicates customer orientation. We stayed in a 3-room Suite and booked through Ozone. The room has a clean bed, 2 large comfortable beds. The towel and bathrobes are clean, packed in polythene. There is a good cafe at the hotel, room service can be ordered around the clock. The deposit was made in tenge, but, as I understood, it was possible in rubles. The staff is friendly. On the downside, be prepared for "cheerful" neighbors. The hallway smells of cigarettes. There are not enough hooks for clothes and a small towel in the bathroom, there is only a high-mounted towel rack.

Overall, everything is fine. Friendly staff. Spacious, clean rooms, clean linen and towels. Water cooler on the floor. There is a refrigerator with a mini bar in the room. There is an iron, bathrobes, reusable rubber slippers. But the audibility in the rooms is simply "excellent". Absolutely EVERYTHING that happens in the neighboring rooms and in the hallway can be heard. I couldn't get enough sleep and rest before the trip. We were charged a deposit (you can use money or a document), which was returned upon eviction.

Next to the City supermarket and some kind of Burger King or KFC shopping mall (I don't remember, for me it's the same thing). The rooms are clean and cozy. But the railway is nearby, steam locomotives are humming all night and dispatchers are shouting over the speakerphone. But a real traveler, tired on the road, is obliged to put a bolt on such details.

When we were very tired, we found a 5.0 hotel in Yandex and 2GIS. The price seemed pleasant: 14,000 rubles per room in the main building, 12,000 rubles in the cottage. We settled in, and everything would have been fine if we hadn't been greeted by a "family" of three cockroaches. The reception offered to change the room, but I doubt that changing the floor solves the problem. As a result, we went to another hotel. The money was returned in full. + a star for the courtesy of the girl at the reception.
