Sculpture fountain "God the Father in the firmament" (another name is "God the Father on the rainbow"). God the father attaches the stars to the sky, and an angel standing below helps him. Actually, it's a fountain (the water, falling, completes the half-arc), but the water is usually turned off. The sculpture is installed on the pier of a boat parking lot in the area of the new residential development Nakka Strand and is clearly visible from the waterway leading from the Baltic Sea to Stockholm. In 1946, sculptor Carl Milles wanted to erect a fountain in front of the UN headquarters in Manhattan, but the UN considered the project too expensive. A detailed design based on a sketch by Milles was created by his student Marshall Fredericks in 1995, at the same time, sponsors were found. The monument is 23 m high, the arch is made of stainless steel, the figures are made of bronze. There are several repeats in Sweden and in the USA.
