Before going to this museum, I traveled all over Tajikistan and all these historical sites. I visited Takhti Sangin, Ajina Tepe monastery, Pamir, Khulbuk fortress, Istaravshan. And so when I saw the exhibits from those places in this museum, I can imagine where it came from. I recommend it to everyone. Tajikistan has a long and rich history. Archaeological finds are proof of this.

Expensive ticket, the exposition is not impressive, some parts of the exhibits on the 2nd floor are simply supported by pieces of foam. The map on the ground floor is incorrectly constructed (for example: rivers and their names are not marked in blue, the scale is not indicated, the borders of the region are not highlighted, etc.) it should be redone. The museum staff did not even bother to turn on the light on the 2nd floor, despite the presence of visitors that day.

Admission is 50 somoni for foreigners, the price is clearly too high. The museum's collection is for an amateur. Buddha in Nirvana is OK, but compared to the 4-storey State Museum for 30 somoni, the exposition is boring.
