The Champs—Elysees are not fields in the usual sense, but a long avenue in the heart of Paris. It stretches for almost two kilometers from the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe and is divided into two parts: one is greener and more peaceful, and the other is a real shopping and entertainment area. The easiest way to get here is by metro, there are many stations around. The main "star" of the avenue is, of course, the Arc de Triomphe. It is not only a symbol of France, but also an excellent viewing platform: climbing to the roof, you can see the Eiffel Tower, the roofs of palaces and the entire avenue from beginning to end. The atmosphere from above is amazing, you immediately understand why the square used to be called the "Star". The name "Champs—Elysees" has its roots in mythology - these are the very "islands of the blessed", where eternal spring reigns. And in a sense, the avenue lives up to its name: there is always life, holidays and movement here. There are hundreds of shops and restaurants on the avenue, from fast food to boutiques of world brands. They work late, which is rare in Paris. The Champs—Elysees are also a place of parades and big events: Bastille Day, Tour de France, New Year celebrations. In general, this is one of the main attractions of Paris, which is impossible to miss. Champs—Elysees is both a story, a celebration, and the modern rhythm of the city in one place.
