A place where everyone should visit at least once in their life... I strongly recommend taking a guided tour, which can be booked in advance on their official website https://visit.auschwitz.org /. We booked in advance, almost a month in advance, so that we could definitely get on the Russian-speaking tour. The tour itself lasts about 3.5 — 4 hours, but the time passes unnoticed, because you are completely immersed in the atmosphere of this horror. I strongly recommend not taking children under 15-16 on this tour. If you are an elderly person or you have any problems with the health of your legs, then I would like to draw your attention to the fact that you will often have to go up and down stairs. There are no benches or places to sit. You need to know that you will be on your feet for the next 3 hours. I didn't notice any ramps or other facilities for people with disabilities. I recommend comfortable shoes, because there is a lot to walk, and the museum is located on grass and small stones. The toilets on the museum grounds are free with lots of cubicles. I would recommend taking water with you in advance, because water is very expensive in vending machines on the territory of the museum. We chose "Zwiedzanie indywidualne", which cost us 140 PLN per person. You have arrived and do not understand where to go 🙈 ( arrive 30+ minutes before the start ) 1. At the main entrance, where "wejście" will be written, there is a man holding a sign with the time. For example, the time on your ticket is 15:15. Only after the employee picks up the sign can you enter, having previously shown him your PRINTED ticket. 2. You pass the control and wait for your time. (there is also a free toilet in the waiting area) 3. You need to go to the check—in and show the ticket, and you will be given a sticker that you stick on your clothes. The language and time of your tour will be indicated there. 4. Then at 3:15 p.m. (as in the example), a tour guide approaches the reception and holds up a sign with the selected language. Approach him and the tour begins. , Do not throw away the ticket — you will need it again at the entrance. The tour takes place in 1 camp for about 1.5 hours. Then take a few minutes break, where you can buy water and visit the restroom. (the water outlet is already at a reasonable price) And you take a FREE bus from the stop indicated by the guide to camp 2, where those famous "gates of death" are located I hope that the information will be useful to you. Have a good rest

I give five stars to the memorial itself (I'll clarify just in case). We came here in 2018. I was in a situation with wild toxicosis, but I felt that I definitely had to see this place with my own eyes. I didn't regret it, despite the smell in the territory, and it is quite strong. Few buildings have been preserved, basically everything has been restored, they did not reach the crematorium, I decided that it was not good to empty my stomach in the museum. We didn't go to the third camp, we didn't meet the deadline. Set aside at least one day to visit the entire Auschwitz. Arrive by 6-6.30 a.m., because the queues are huge. The town itself is surprisingly cute and beautiful.

The place is certainly terrible, but the feelings that it causes are not ordinary, it is worth visiting, as you find yourself on another planet or in another reality. Tickets for the high season were booked on their website in advance, there were no tickets in one group, they took two groups of different nationalities, but they went with my husband, we did not need a guide, we went ourselves, so we managed to devote a lot of time to inspect the first camp, it took 5 hours, unfortunately, when we arrived by shuttle in the second camp, it started to rain so heavily that they refused to inspect and returned to the parking lot. We got there by rented car, but there are trains and buses. Minus a star for closing the pavilion organized by the Russian Federation and dedicated to the liberation of the camp, this is the most interesting thing in the history of the camp and it is so necessary to see happy faces of people after all the horrors of staying there.

I was there in 2020. It's impressive... It's very hard, I probably won't come back. The horrific scale of human destruction. These mountains of shoes, shaving brushes, glasses and women's hair. It's terrible really. But I think this place should definitely be visited, it's a terrible and cruel story, but it took place. We must remember and make every effort so that this would not happen again. I do not raise my hand to put 5 stars, but as a museum this place deserves high praise. In 2020, there were Russian-language excursions

I've been there a couple of times, it's a pretty good boarding house. The food is good, the living conditions are stunning. The camp has everything: a secret shower, a sauna, a dining room, a pit, and of course residential buildings. I advise everyone to visit this place.

People who visited here after the war say that birds do not sing in the camp. They just don't live there. A sad place. I don't think any stars are required to mark this place, which preserves the memory of thousands of victims of Nazism. This must not happen again! We need to make every effort to do this! Glory to the Soviet soldiers who stopped this nightmare!

It's a great place, it's a pity it doesn't work at full capacity as in 1941-1945.

A great holiday camp for the whole family! Is it true that a strange uncle walks around here, calling for experiments for a piece of candy, to agree?

Many years ago I was at the Auschwitz Museum. This photo is located at the very beginning. It depicts 3,500 Hungarian Jews. They arrived at the Konzentrationslager Auschwitz-Birkenau (KZ Auschwitz). Upon arrival of the train, the first thing people are divided into two columns, which are clearly visible in the photo. Men separately, women separately with children. A little later, the women's column will be divided into two more... women separately, children separately. In order for them not to resist, they are very amiably told about the need for sanitation from lice and offered to wash with hot water after the road. Then they will all be brought to two huge rooms, in which these people will undress a little later, and then they will be asked to leave their belongings, for which they will be able to return in 15 minutes. Then they are led into the next room, and the door closes behind them. For those who are in the photo – forever. Women were always allowed in first, then the cyclone gas was turned on for 15 minutes (which was produced by Bayer), and that was it. Then the children, and only then the men. Well, then they ventilate the room, then a special team comes, which takes the bodies to the next room along the way, where there are stoves. And they burn them all there. After a few hours, there is silence. Very organized, efficient. Very German SS men go to have fun – drink their schnapps and dance I do not know about you, but it is creepy for me to look at the merry staff who killed several million innocent people, most of them children, very young children, teenagers (girls and boys), women and the elderly. There were also men.. The photo is dated May 29, 1943 and has been on the Internet for a long time, but few people know the names of these / // captured in the picture. At that time (May 1943), about a million people were brutally tortured in Auschwitz – four hundred thousand of them were children from one to 16 years old (oh, my God – this is the same number of people who now live in Simferopol!) In the photo, Jewish women and children on the territory of the Auschwitz concentration camp Presumably the photo was taken between crematoriums No. 3 and No. 4 They are all waiting in line to be sent to the gas chambers There were days when the load of the gas chambers was especially high, the wait was up to ten hours The Nazis did not leave children alive until the age of 14, in their opinion, children could not work well and ate a lot, which undermined the economy of great Germany and the Third Reich ... An excerpt from the novel Swans Fly Inhuman, barbaric experiments on humans, such as experiments on twin children in concentration camps, were started in order to discover similarities and differences in the genetics of twins. The main figure in these experiments was Josef Mengele, who performed experiments on more than 1,500 pairs of twins, of which only about 200 remained alive. Mengele conducted his experiments on twins in the Auschwitz concentration camp. The twins were classified according to their age and gender and housed in special barracks. The experiments involved injecting various chemicals into the twins' eyes to see if it was possible to change the color of their eyes. Attempts have also been made to "stitch" twins to artificially create Siamese twins. Experiments with attempts to change the color of the eyes often ended in severe pain, infection of the eyes and temporary or permanent blindness. Mengele also used the method of infecting one of the twins with infections, followed by autopsy of both subjects, in order to study and compare the affected organs. Emaciated children are prisoners of the Auschwitz concentration camp, on whom German doctors conducted experiments. The twins were kept in the so-called "gypsy camp", whose doctor in 1943-1944 was Josef Mengele.

Yandex has a lot of information about concentration camps: Mauthausen, Buchenwald, Majdanek, Salaspils, Auschwitz, but not a word, not a photo about Dachau .. But everyone knows the mocking, cynical inscription on the gate "labor makes a man free", there is no more cynical slogan! And who did the Nazis start destroying in the first Dachau concentration camp?!(although the Finns had concentration camps for a long time), all ... Communists... Did anyone honor their memory?! How many communists were killed in all countries? No less than Jews... how many Communists fought and fought against the Nazis? Even here, in Russia, no one remembers this. I'm not talking about those who call themselves communists, consider themselves members of the Communist parties. There is no monument to communists anywhere in the world... Think about it.. I am not an ardent communist, and even more so not a Jew, but I felt offended for these people, hence this sad review was born...
