One of the sights of Gyumri. We tried all 3 donuts and monchika, all good and decent, especially considering the price. They look very fluffy, but there's not much filling in them. Herbal tea is also very tasty. One big disadvantage is that the place is always full and you have to wait 10-15 minutes to get a place to sit.

The donuts are delicious. They bring them hot, unlike other establishments in Gyumri. The waiter said they were being prepared here in the kitchen, so it would take longer. There are no pies with potatoes and meat at all. Once in the evening, when we got there, we were pleasantly surprised to see a musician with a guitar on the 2nd floor. It adds comfort to the atmosphere inside.

We decided to try donuts and go to some new place and chose this particular cafe.He was recommended to us and we didn't regret it.We sat down at the most beautiful table under the lamps. Huge portions, delicious food, DONUTS that are nowhere to be found, the size of a flying saucer, fast service, jokes are understood and accepted, the staff is friendly, clean and calm, even when there are a lot of people. A very good grid in Gyumri! We stopped for breakfast. We took lahmajun, shawarma, coffee and a Donut with a Monch. Everything is very tasty! The difference between a donut and a monch is custard vanilla cream or chocolate (aka Nutella). Look at the photo size , impressive. Original, delicious! Definitely worth a visit.

Take exactly more than one :) There is a huge number of visitors on Sunday morning, and the order must wait at least 40 minutes. As a result, we moved to another branch of this network in 10 minutes on foot, there was no one there :)

The first thing I note is the long queue at the cafe. We stood for about 20 minutes. It was necessary to visit such a popular place. In fact, it's a smile. Donuts - well, these are St. Petersburg crumpets (to taste), only pumped by a bicycle pump to the size of a huge oval. One bite and it deflates to the size of an ordinary crumpet. A scam, I thought. :)))) Next, the food. This is fast food. You look around, and everywhere students are sitting, eating hamburgers, sausages in dough and drinking Cola. First, I think we got to a place of haute cuisine))) So don't expect any wow flavors, everything is common for St. Petersburg-Moscow, it's just delicious and nothing more. They didn't understand what was so attractive about this place. Apparently, when Gyumri is all about national cuisine, and here you are: the food is fast food, where it is delivered quite quickly - this attracts the locals. I don't understand what tourists are doing there. Blowing away the score)))

We were not satisfied with the visit. We ordered ribs, mushroom soup, khachapuri, dessert, and a drink. The waiter (a curly-haired boy) came up and said, "There is no need." I asked you to pick it up without cheese. I tried to convince them that cheesecakes without cheese are very good, that I'm not allergic. Otherwise, I would have to call an ambulance. They asked for the bill 3 times, but I walked by. There are no complaints about the kitchen.

To be honest, I still don't understand why the "Monchik Donut" in Gyumri is causing such a stir. Perhaps the whole point is that this is the only doughnut shop in the city, so everyone goes there — both locals and tourists. But the experience itself turned out to be questionable. We spent almost an hour just waiting for the food: we stood for about 30 minutes until we were seated and our order was accepted, and it took about the same amount of time to prepare. The prices were also surprising — 400-500 drams per donut. For Gyumri, this is significantly above average, and the taste, although not bad, hardly justifies either the price or the time spent. It turns out that the experience is more from the queues and waiting than from the dessert itself. As a result, the place looks like a hyped "must-visit", but if you are not ready to sacrifice an hour for a couple of donuts, it is better to look for an alternative. There is a taste, but there is not as much pleasure from the process as we would like.
