The history of the creation of this square and the sculpture museum on it is very interesting. I definitely advise you to take a guide, or at least to study the history of this place beforehand. All the sculptures are very different, collected from different parts of the world. It is clear that the person who created this open-air museum has special feelings for this place.

A pleasant place Benches, sculptures. Nice people. Great views. Everything is photogenic and everything is worth exploring. It is very harmoniously combined with the local ziggurat. Be sure to schedule a visit to this place. This is an important part of the architecture and image of Yerevan. Walking distance from the city center is 20 min. It's the same in a taxi in traffic jams.

I really liked the place. Inside, you can ride an escalator, accompanied by exhibits of contemporary art. And on the street you can go down and up the terraces, with open views. We visited in April, the fountains were not working yet. I think it's very beautiful in summer! More greenery and flowers need to be planted on the slopes!

In Yerevan, in a landmark place for the city on the Cascade, the Art Center of Gafeschyan, an American philanthropist of Armenian origin, was opened in 2009. An underground tunnel with escalators and exits to the terraces of the Cascade stretches along the Cascade. Here, in the open air and in the halls of the tunnel, the exhibits of Gerard Gafeschyan's personal collection are displayed. There are works by artists from different countries, including Marc Chagall and Andy Warhol. Three sculptures were made by Colombian sculptor Fernando Botero ("Smoking Woman", "Cat", "Roman Legionnaire"), an openwork "Teapot" by Portuguese designer Joane Vasconcelos, a laughing man in a dog pose by Chinese artist Yue Minjun, and a lion made of tire scraps by Korean artist Ji Yong Ho. Two more sculptures were created by American figures: Robert Indiana — the letters "LOVE", Peter Wojtuk — blue kiwi. Three more were made by British sculptors: Tom Hill worked on two openwork horses, Martin Waller worked on divers, and David Breuer Weil worked on a sunken head in the center of one of the fountains.

Keep in mind that despite the opening hours indicated on the doors until 8 p.m., security closes the entrance at 7:45 p.m. After that, you won't be able to use the escalator.

It is a very good idea by architect Tamanyan , it is a pity that we did not have time to complete it to the end. I hope someday the Cascade will be completed. All the museums on the Cascade must be visited, especially for free

A gorgeous Cascade , you can climb the 310-meter steps or take the escalator to enter the art gallery on the left side of the cascade , and exit each level to see the gorgeous Ararat

A very cool place is a museum with views of Yerevan. Courtyards with fountains are just great! There are many interesting exhibits in the museum. I liked the part of the old ship and the Swarovski crystals the most. It's a very atmospheric place.

It's a beautiful place. One of the recognizable symbols of Armenia and Yerevan. Those who do not want to climb on foot can use the escalators. At the very top there is a great view of the city covered with haze.

I liked the Soviet escalators on which you can not overtake the person in front - they are too narrow. I wish I could put them in Moscow!

There is a guard on each floor who will immediately run up and forbid you to do everything: lean on walls and railings, sit on chairs. Apparently, you need to walk past the guards at a fast pace, otherwise they have nothing to do and need to justify their existence.
