The minaret or Hassan Tower. The minaret began to be built back in 1195 by order of Emir Yaqub al-Mansur. There was supposed to be the tallest tower in the whole world to the mosque. But in 1199, construction was suspended, and only partially the walls and pillars remained where the mosque was supposed to be. Currently, the minaret and the territory of the unfinished mosque are included in the UNESCO list. The territory is located in the city center, admission is free.

A beautiful tower. In itself, of course, it is not particularly interesting. Even if you plan to visit her doppelganger in Marrakech. However, just as the king is made by his retinue, so is the tower made by its surroundings - there are many stylized turrets, a fountain, and a mausoleum on the opposite side of the square. Admission is free. It is best to visit in sunny weather 1-2 hours before sunset, then the shadows from the towers decorate the views even more, and it is not so hot.
