This is a very ancient building, with beautiful architecture, the bricks are cut and laid out at different angles in a beautiful mosaic, you can compare it with a carved casket or lace. The entrance is quite expensive, there's not much to see, the whole point is in the masonry of the building, you can admire the outside. There are always a lot of tourists in front of the entrance, if you go around the building, then from the back, it's deserted and you can take great photos.

This is an ancient architectural masterpiece! The building is like a carved stone casket, it is not for nothing that our acquaintance with Bukhara began here. At first we didn't want to go inside (entrance is paid), but we changed our mind and didn't regret it. It's just amazing inside!

In fact, it seems strange to evaluate a monument that is more than a thousand years old and which is an absolute part of the world, not only local, historical and cultural heritage. Let's just say this is one of the places in Bukhara that must be seen. The condition of the monument does not raise any questions, so the assessment is excellent.

Samanid Mausoleum in Bukhara: a masterpiece of architecture and a symbol of the era The Samanid Mausoleum is one of the most outstanding monuments of ancient architecture in Central Asia, located in the historical part of Bukhara. Built in the IX–X centuries as a tomb for representatives of the Samanid dynasty, the mausoleum combines exquisite beauty and perfection of engineering thought. This place not only impresses with its appearance, but also reflects the high level of development of culture and art of the early Islamic Renaissance. The building, made of baked bricks, is a real masterpiece of architecture. Architects used bricks with incredible precision and skill, creating complex geometric patterns and reliefs that look new in different lighting conditions. In terms of the mausoleum has the shape of a cube with a dome, symbolizing the earthly and heavenly beginnings. Despite the simplicity of the materials used, the Samanid mausoleum radiates extraordinary harmony and grandeur. The condition of the building is especially impressive: the mausoleum has survived the centuries, preserving its authenticity and uniqueness. This place is often called the "pearl of Oriental architecture" for its uniqueness and elegance. Being here, you feel the connection of times and realize the greatness of history, written by the hands of masters of the past. A visit to the Samanid Mausoleum will be an unforgettable part of your trip to Bukhara. To make your trip as comfortable as possible, we offer guided tours with experienced guides who will tell you about the history of the mausoleum and its creators. We also provide transportation services and sightseeing tours to other historical and cultural monuments of Bukhara and Uzbekistan. The mausoleum is amazingly beautiful. It was made of baked bricks, which the craftsmen laid in various ways: at an angle, on an edge. The result is amazing geometric patterns — mostly squares and circles. The mausoleum is interesting because it is the oldest surviving building in Bukhara, especially since it is unlike any other building.

One of the few (in my opinion, three) preserved pre-Mongol buildings in Bukhara. A small, neat, but at the same time very elegant mausoleum. There is no mosaic, all the beauty is achieved only by bricklaying. It's up to you to decide whether or not to go inside, there's not much to look at, but the price is like in larger museums. You can walk around the park, sit on a bench and relax.

An interesting sight of Bukhara... But to sit inside the mausoleum, look at the brick walls from the inside, paying 15,000 soums for IT.... For what?! And the usher at the entrance is like a dog!

A very unusual building from the point of view of interior design. Despite the lack of tiled decorations, it looks very solemn and significant. Spectacular stone laying creates airy patterns of decoration. In the evening, the mausoleum is illuminated from the inside, which makes it especially solemn. A masterpiece of the pre-Mongol period (built in the 9th century). The Samanid Mausoleum is the oldest monument in Central Asia, it is well preserved and remains one of the main attractions of Bukhara.

A small and very ancient Samanid mausoleum on the banks of the Hausa, built at the turn of the 9th-10th centuries. The oldest building in Uzbekistan from a generally accepted point of view and the only one of its kind that survived from the Samanid empire. Like most pre-Mongol buildings in Central Asia, including other monuments of Bukhara - the Kalyan Minaret, the Magoki-Atari mosque have a common feature of the style - the most complex ornaments of terrorist attacks and figured brickwork. By the beginning of the twentieth century, the mausoleum was almost completely drowned in cultural layers, and other experts criticize its restoration down to the word "destroyed", but I remember the mausoleum as one of the most beautiful structures in Uzbekistan.

An interesting place. A touch of history. I am very glad that Uzbekistan preserves historical monuments. We went with the children in the summer, they really enjoyed the trip. The only drawback is the collection of fees every time you go somewhere. This has never happened before. I understand that funds are needed for restoration and reconstruction, which are partially covered by these fees. In this case, there is a suggestion to make a single order, which will provide access to all buildings with a map, a map of all locations, a bouquet, a QR code with an online guide where you can listen about this monument and the city as a whole. historical references, etc.

An amazingly beautiful building. With consideration. That something was built in 900 years, you wonder at the skill of the architects, how they could imagine such a complex design of the building. It looks just magical. It is a little annoying to constantly charge money even for such small buildings, where, by and large, there is not much to see. There is a tomb and you can look at the stunning design of the walls inside. It cost something in the region of 20,000 soums (I don't remember exactly, they collected in every building :-)) per person. However, if only it would go into business, to maintain the condition of the monument.

You can't come to Bukhara and not visit the mausoleum of Ismail Samani. It's like coming to Rome and walking past the Colosseum. But if you, my brother, are a man with a fine taste for antiquity, then true pleasure awaits you here. You stand in front of this small but incredibly exquisite structure and feel how the times of the Samanids come to life around you. These are not some kind of gilded chants like those that the Persians or Turks built later. No— this is architecture with dignity, with respect for stone, for form, for meaning. Every brick here is like a word in an epic composed in the language of eternity. The dome seems simple, but there is ingenious mathematics in its harmony. The facades are decorated with brick embroidery, where each ornament is not just a beauty, but a symbol, a message of the time. And how much philosophy there is in this building! The connection between the earthly and the divine, the succession of generations, the cult of enlightenment through power. The place is special. Even on a hot day, it feels easier to breathe there, as if the air itself remembers the scientists, poets, and artisans who lived under the rule of the Samanids — those who made the East not only powerful, but also spiritually rich. If you love antiquity not in the sense of "I was in Greece," but in the sense of ** understanding the roots of civilization**, then this mausoleum will be a revelation for you. He doesn't shout about himself, he speaks in a whisper, but those who know how to listen will hear the story of a great epoch. I recommend coming early in the morning when the light is soft and the park is still empty. Then you will really feel that time has stopped. Just for a minute.

In the Samanid Mausoleum, the craftsmen achieved an artistic effect in architectural design by using combined masonry, that is, by arranging tiled bricks in different ways. There is no similar decoration on any monument of world architecture.

A small, majestic mausoleum. A large number of small, decorative elements. It is located in a pleasant, green park area. A mandatory request for tourists who are animal lovers. Several small dogs and cats live in the park. Please do not forget to feed these miles, they only stay on tourists. Especially a couple of small lapdogs. We will be grateful to you. The attraction is a must-visit, admission is free.

The dynastic mausoleum is one of the oldest monuments of Central Asian monumental architecture and an architectural monument of world significance. It was built at the turn of the 9th and 10th centuries. It is the only surviving building of the Samanid era on the territory of the Bukhara oasis. As part of the "Historical Center of Bukhara", it was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1993
