I remember how my wife and I were sitting at home and discussing plans for the holiday weekend (in honor of Nauryz), what to do, etc. and then the thought spontaneously comes to mind: why don't we go to Uzbekistan?. Well, what about it? Nearby ... only 570 km from Aktau and to the border. After all, we are the kind of people who do not need to be begged for a long time. We packed up and left. As for the bad road after the KZ border, I will keep silent. They're still building it.
In general, we reached the ancient city of Khiva, which I remember from my school days. Fortunately, my wife had booked a hotel for us in advance through Booking, which we reached at 3 a.m. Fucking roads🤦🏻♂️ Apologize. But, it is impossible to forget them in any way. On the way, my wife told me that the hotel was a madrasah in the distant past.
Arriving at the hotel, we were immediately checked into a room. Then I took a shower and immediately "hang up in the border troops"! I passed out right away.
In the afternoon we went out into the yard and here we were waiting for such a craaaaaaa. And there are a lot of tourists from all over the world.
To sum up, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff is also very sensitive. I asked for water, and he brings me 3 bottles and says that there is no need to pay anything. I answer: don't, don't🤷♂️

Khiva is the fourth and last city in our journey across the UZ. And the Madrasah is the best hotel in total. Authentic, beautiful, cozy, the family that owns the hotel is incredibly friendly, responded to all our requests. They are very sympathetic. The hotel has an exchange office, which is very important when there are few of them in the city. No need to waste time. The breakfasts are not big, but they are very tasty. And we remember sour cream from cream a month later. Tea is free at any time, so one evening the friendly hostess baked us fresh cookies as a compliment. There is a wonderful courtyard where it is pleasant to sit in the evening. We didn't want to leave. We will remember this place with joy and warmth. A wonderful end to the journey.

This is an ancient madrasah, and now a hotel. Friendly guys work at the reception. They try to help the guests in everything. The rooms are warm, despite the winter time. A delicious breakfast, although without frills. Ichan-Kala is not far away, it takes about 7 minutes to walk.
