Guided tours in Russian are available. Entrance is paid. The place is certainly terrifying, especially when you begin to imagine and understand the horror of what is happening within these walls. There's dust everywhere, we walk on it, we breathe it. A place where the thought that some inhumans could do things to people just puts you in a stupor…

If you buy an excursion on the website with a group, you need to come in advance, because the museum is 2 and you can mix up the locations. And if you are late, you may not find the group anymore, because there are a lot of people, there are a lot of groups and no one will deal with you.

It was in 2019. It is not possible to describe it in words. You need to be there to understand. One of the darkest places I've ever been. Both camps impressed. And the impressions are the most painful. But some took selfies in front of the barracks with a smile. The very place where you realize that the scariest creature on earth is a human being.

I was on an excursion to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum 1 and 2 with a Russian-speaking guide. The start was at 11 o'clock, only once a day in Russian. I bought the ticket after standing in line for 1.5 hours. I arrived at 8:00 in the morning, you can do it earlier, the museum starts working at 7:30. You can buy a ticket on the website, but you need to do it 2-3 days in advance and then you won't have to stand in line like me. When buying a ticket at the ticket office, you must have with you: a passport or driver's license or a bank card, the ticket is issued with a personal one and at the entrance you go through control as at the airport, there they check the ticket and your document. You can take your purse and a bottle of water with you. And another question about the handbag, if it is larger than some size, you will be forced to put it in a storage room. The camera is paid. Take an umbrella or a hat with you, according to the weather, because you will be outside for a long time. There will be a 10-minute toilet break between the two museums. It's paid. You can pay by card. You can take photos, but the truth is not in all rooms. The guide usually talks about it. My tour cost 60 zlotys. There are more expensive ones, but there is a time of 5.5 hours. You can get into the museum for free. To do this, you also need to get a ticket. The ticket offices are open until 15:00. Calculate the time so that you have time to take a ticket at the ticket office before closing, taking into account the queue. If you go for free, buy a guide in Russian. You can also visit two camps. I advise you to do so. I was very impressed by the second Auschwitz.

We went on New Year's holidays, because we considered this place a must-visit with eleven-year-old children. The soul is torn "to shreds". Unfortunately, all information is only in 3 languages (Polish, English and Hebrew). In Russian, you can only read the information in barrack 14 (ours did). And only there is information about the liberation of this camp by the Soviet army. It's a shame!!! My husband left an entry about it in the book of memory. You can buy a travel guide in Russian.

Admission is free for Russians, parking is paid. It is sad that there is no description in Russian, except for the pavilions designed by the Russian side. Putting likes for such places does not raise a hand.
A guided tour is held once a day in Russian, for other languages from two times.

I advise you to visit with the whole family! Especially to sleep in those cells and take the "don't get into the gas chamber" test! The children and I liked it, but I came back alone...

A tourist attraction was set up from a creepy place. It is better to start with Auschwitz 2.
