Excellent location of the hotel in the very center of Registan Square opposite Islam Karimov Park. A nice room with everything you need, if you don't find fault with the dust and hard mattresses, it's generally excellent, a very good variety of breakfasts, you can choose from several hot dishes, desserts, cheeses, sausages, everything is very tasty. Helpful and friendly staff, always ready to help

We recently visited this hotel. Very nice hotel! I recommend it! It's not expensive, the rooms are cozy and clean after cleaning. The bed linen is fresh, all the necessary things for the room are there. The staff is polite and caring, they will help you quickly if necessary. The breakfasts are varied, very tasty, fresh, and hot. There is peace and quiet in the room.👍👍👍

The location of the hotel is very attractive, near Registan Square, the staff is helpful and try to help with everything. We were a group in winter, the hotels were cold, the rooms were very small, and not all rooms had hot water. The beds are also small with a hard mattress. As it is, the hotel is beautiful and compact.

The hotel seems to be a family-run, small, cozy, with a winter garden. Positive: 1. The attitude towards the guests (attentive, if there is a breakdown-they try to help) 2. Delicious breakfast 3. Location - right across the street from Registan. Minuses: 1. The hotel has a disgusting Internet connection, Wi-Fi is available, but the connection is very weak. 2. There is no heating, the batteries are icy, heat only with air conditioning, and this does not last long and burns oxygen. We froze in early November.

We came to Uzbekistan for the first time and decided to stay at the Grand Hotel Sherdor. Before the trip, we called the hotel, asked them to arrange a transfer from the airport, and we were provided with it for free. The hotel has a wonderful location: Registan Square is a five-minute walk away, and other attractions can also be easily reached on foot, but you can also rent a bicycle from the hotel. The hotel itself has been well renovated in oriental style. There is a room for selfies in national costumes. The rooms are newly renovated. There is everything you need: air conditioning, kettle, TV, refrigerator, hairdryer and high-speed Wi-Fi. All hygiene products are available in the bathroom. An iron and ironing board were also provided at my request. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned every day. A decent and delicious buffet breakfast is included in the catering system. We like to sleep, so even if we arrived late, everything was available and warm. The receptionist always found out our food preferences, and was ready to provide, for example, porridge tailored to our tastes. At the same time, at any time of the day, you can go down and drink tea or coffee with sweets, as well as take bottles of water. There are always nuts, fruits and dried fruits on the tables in the restaurant, which you can enjoy. Almost every day, compliments were delivered to our room in the form of cherries, apricots, sliced melons or watermelon. Speaking of staff, everyone speaks Russian, so we didn't encounter a language barrier. Everyone was very polite and attentive. The hotel administration was ready to help with all issues, both inside and outside the hotel (restaurants, excursions, etc.). I would also like to thank the hotel administration for giving us the opportunity to use the room at a late check-out without charging an additional fee, and they also fed us lunch))) Everything was done from the heart. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality! This hotel and the people who work there are one of the reasons why we have an unforgettable experience of Uzbekistan!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in May of this year, another review is hot on our heels. The hotel is not bad, but it disappointed us more. Its main advantage is its convenient location, across the street from Registan. The entrance group and lobby look pretentious to be "expensive and rich", the red carpet is on the street, everything is in gold at the entrance. In general, it's beautiful, but when you enter the hotel there is an incomprehensible rag on the floor, so that the carpet is not trampled, then immediately the thought is that guests are not welcome here) We check in. Our room is on the 2nd floor, the light in the corridors turns on from motion sensors. The room is not big, there is everything you need. The bed linen is of good quality, snow-white. When checking into the room, there were towels for only 1 person, they were brought immediately upon the call. Water, 2 0.5 bottles each, was only available when we checked in, and it was not replenished anymore. But to be fair, there was a cooler in the hallway not far from our room. Tea bags, 2 green and 2 black teas were reported in the room every day. The refrigerator in the room was big enough. The bathroom is also large, but the shower room is not covered with anything and the floor in the shower is very slippery. One of the disadvantages of the room is a very very hard bed, a very uncomfortable wardrobe. The disadvantages of the hotel include breakfast. Breakfast starts at 8 a.m., you won't stay hungry, but at 8:30 a.m. the tables are already full and the staff is in no hurry to replenish what they have already eaten. Although the breakfast time is before 10.00. In general, we are absolutely not pretentious tourists, but it is in this hotel that breakfast has a big disadvantage. Another unusual thing, this is the first time we've encountered it. The hotel is often locked, you need to call to get started, and this happens during the day as well. Bottom line for the hotel, I won't say it's terrible, but I won't want to stay in it a second time.

In May, we visited Uzbekistan and decided to stay at this hotel. After calling the hotel, we arranged a transfer from the airport for free. The hotel itself is new, well renovated. The location of the hotel is very convenient - 5 minutes walk from the historical center. The rooms are fully equipped-refrigerator, kettle, hairdryer, air conditioning, wi-fi. The breakfasts are good. You won't stay hungry. On request, they can prepare porridge according to your taste. The hotel staff always responded to ALL our requests and questions. They often brought us treats in the room - watermelons, melons and other goodies. It was a pleasure. Bottled water was also always available at the hotel. Thanks to the t hotel and the whole of Uzbekistan for their warm oriental hospitality!!!

Hello everyone Don't even hesitate when choosing this hotel. All of us, and there were 8 of us, 3 married couples + 2 girls, liked it very much! One of the very small disadvantages is that the mattresses are too hard for us. One of the advantages: The location! The most historical center. Near Registan and the market. Everyone liked the breakfasts. Especially the amlet and one of the days there were baked potato pies (just a blast). We all ate 3 pieces. And the most important thing is the attitude of the innkeeper! Jamshed, great greetings from our company. Jamshed at the hotel, it feels like 24/7. There were a lot of us and we couldn't fit in any of the rooms in the evenings. Jamshed allowed us to use the breakfast room for gatherings! And there are dishes and a hot cooler, tea, coffee, cola, pepsi, buckwheat nuts, raisins! Everything is unlimited, in general, everything is included! I really liked it, we will definitely come again and recommend it to everyone! Don't be afraid to communicate, and most importantly, don't be positive!

We stayed at this hotel in September 2024. The location of the hotel is very convenient, the sights are nearby. I can't say that I have 4 stars, but it was compensated by hospitality, willingness to help, all requests were fulfilled with lightning speed. Thank you very much, I recommend it for a stop on the trip.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in early May 2024. The hotel has an excellent location, you can easily walk to all the sights of Samarkand. There is a luxurious banquet hall on the 1st floor, but it is not heard at all in the rooms. The rooms are very clean, the bed is comfortable, there is a shower. Pleasant breakfasts, hot and cold snacks and tea with sweets. Begzod and his colleagues are very attentive, take care of the comfort of the hotel guests, do everything to make the holiday memorable. I recommend 5/5!

We stayed with our daughter in this hotel in May 2024. The hotel is new, it opened a few days ago. The entrance area of the hotel is luxurious, the rooms are pleasant. The room has a kettle and tea and coffee bags (although instant coffee), bottled water, which you can take yourself in the hotel dining room or fill the kettle with water from the cooler near the dining room. The room has slippers, shampoo gels, toothbrushes. If you need anything, you can ask at the reception – they will immediately respond and bring everything. Mattresses are a bit harsh, it's true. But we asked for extra blankets – and the issue was resolved) The breakfasts are quite hearty, but if you need them, they can cook something separately right there. Of course, I would like coffee from a coffee machine, and not instant coffee from bags. But I think this is a solvable issue) The excellent location of the hotel is to literally cross the road to Registan Square, and to many other attractions on foot nearby along the square (Bibi Khanum, Shahi Zinda, Siab market) But the main thing is the hotel staff. People are responsive and friendly. I would especially like to mention Bekzod and Jamshed. It is felt that they love their hotel very much and value its reputation. They are always friendly and will help you with any question. The management of the hotel should cherish such employees. Both Bekzod and Jamshed added pleasant impressions of Samarkand. I wish the hotel prosperity! Thank you, Bekzod and Jamshed! Irina, Moscow

Helpful and friendly staff. We checked in immediately upon arrival, despite the fact that we arrived ahead of check-in time. They showed us two rooms to choose from, and we chose the room that we liked. They helped us take out and load our luggage into the taxi. A great hotel, even despite the hardest mattress.

I returned yesterday from Samarkand, I was there for the first time and I had mixed impressions, first of all from the Sherdor hotel So, in order, let's start with the pros (they were there after all): 1. The biggest plus is the location, indeed, Registan Square is a 5-minute walk away, the bazaar is just over a kilometer away, as is the mausoleum of Tamerlane. All the necessary infrastructure is around: shops, cafes, a bank, pharmacies, a communication salon 2. The room looks good, white linen, good linen, plumbing, there are all kinds of hygiene products, a kettle, mugs, glasses, a small refrigerator, air conditioning and even an iron (although, not really, there was a joke, I only had an ironing board in my room, and my father had an iron in the next room, but there was no board) That's all, now about the cons: 1. I saw in the reviews about the hard mattress, and also read that the problem was solved. So he's UNREALISTICALLY tough, the staff says, "well, he's orthopedic," he's torture, I'd say. I immediately asked to resolve the issue, from the 3rd (!) time, 2 women were sent to me, who put some kind of blanket on top of the mattress, which maybe softened it a little... the next day I asked for help again, because I slept very badly and my whole body ached, also from the 3rd time I almost took the hand of an employee, I was given a single blanket and I myself doubled what was laid the day before, added what was given and refilled. It became softer, but it was still very uncomfortable. 2. Audibility. We arrived out of season and for the first couple of days only we lived, so we did not immediately appreciate the audibility. But in the last 2 days, a group of local kids aged 6-8 years (20-25 people) stopped by and then it became clear that the walls between the rooms were super thin. It is clear that children are children, but when they are everywhere, both from the side and from above, it was hard, as if you were in the same room with them 3. The hotel is located in the same room with 2 banquet halls, most likely it was made just for those who want to stay after the banquet. There were banquets almost every day, and it was a crowd of people, loud music, songs. Fortunately, banquets usually ended before 7-8 pm, although 1 time there was some kind of event after 10 pm with songs and screams. In general, during the day, and sometimes at night, you will not be able to rest. 4. Breakfast. I considered myself generally picky, I was surprised when people write that breakfasts are scarce. But here's what we're up against. In the early days, when only we lived (and a man for a couple of days), breakfast was served only to us. And only 1 time it happened that we came, and there was something on the table (just when another person moved in), the rest of the time we came to an empty hall and started looking for workers, literally begging to be fed (at the same time, we discussed the time in advance, but almost always, nothing it wasn't ready). On the first day, they brought us sliced 1 type of sausage, tongue, 3 types of cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, flatbread and fried 2 eggs each. And, well, they also brought an imitation of black and red caviar (absolutely tasteless) and cherished pieces of cake (apparently, there was left of the banquet). Then, every day, the "variety" decreased to eggs and 1 type of cheese. Waiting for 20 minutes each time. One day it was cool, we came, and the tables were moved in the hall and a banquet was served. And so they looked at us, like, "what did you come for?", I no longer had enough patience, I began to express, for which I received an answer in raised tones, "yes, sit down, now." At the same time, another employee continued to set the table, arrange the appliances, bypassing us and sighing with displeasure, apparently they interfered. They waited forever again, they brought just eggs and cheese, I had to ask for at least bread. That's when the children stopped by, the situation changed, a buffet was set for 3 in the morning, however, the assortment did not increase much, boiled rice and buckwheat appeared, sweets, 1 more type of sausage. Moreover, everything was always cold (1 time they came at 6 in the morning, fried eggs were cold, maybe they laid it all out in the evening). They didn't get poisoned, and thanks for that. 5. The attitude of the staff. To be honest, I chose the hotel, including reviews of the cordiality and hospitality of the staff, but something went wrong, maybe it was all changed. There were many promises that were not fulfilled or fulfilled with repeated reminders. She described the situation at breakfast, how we literally begged for them and waited for a long time, although we had agreed on the time the day before. There was a funny story about a treat. On the 2nd day, when it was not yet clear what kind of people they were, they offered to treat us with pilaf, supposedly there would be a holiday for the groom and the men would make pilaf, they said to come up approximately between 12-30 and 13-00 and that we would not try such delicious things in the district. Tempting, isn't it? Of course we agreed. And then 3 times at 12-30, 13-00 and already at 13-20 we came to the reception, where there was no one. Well, OK, we decided that there was no pilaf left, so we went to a cafe. A couple of days later, when the banquet was set and we were surprised that we wanted breakfast, it was said again, "let's make amends, treat us to pilaf for dinner, come at 5 p.m., otherwise (attention!) you didn't come last time." It was really unpleasant, I couldn't stand it anymore and said that we had been and come 3 times and that if we really wanted to treat, we would have knocked on the room, and then how do we go and look for a treat, it's strange to me. They promised to fix it. Was there a pilaf at 5 o'clock? That's right - it wasn't) we decided to pack up and go to the cafe, passing by the banquet hall, we still saw the promised one, he said "Oh, it's already 5, well, go ahead, I'll bring it now." They brought it in about 20 minutes, it was already cool. We tried it, of course, and thanked him. And there were also questions about currency exchange, about the SIM card, and the administrator promised to solve everything, help, but then, apparently, he forgot. With the currency, I offered to give it to him and then he would bring the local ones, but somehow I didn't really like this option))) then we realized that it was better not to ask or ask for anything, but to figure it out for ourselves. Cleaning turned out to be on request, it was necessary to hang a sign, as a result, they cleaned normally 1 time, and a very pleasant elderly woman came to the 2nd request, said that she was working the first day, looked into the room and asked "do you need to clean right?". I hope it was a compliment that we were clean, agreed on taking out the trash and changing towels. The review turned out to be too big, it is unlikely that anyone will read it to the end. I was just very offended and unpleasant, after all, the hotel does not cost 2-3 thousand rubles, but more than 5 thousand in some countries for this price you can relax in an all-inclusive hotel. I try to convince myself that this is also an experience and that we were just unlucky and that we were out of season, but is this an excuse?
