Jugetsudo is a refined Japanese tea brand created by the Maruyama Nori company, which has been known for producing high-quality nori and tea since 1854. The name Jugetsudo means "a place where you can watch the moon," reflecting the company's philosophy of appreciating nature and enjoying the changing seasons. The brand was founded in 1980 by Maruyama Nori, which has been operating since 1854 and initially specialized in the wholesale of nori in Tokyo's Nihonbashi district. Jugetsudo stores are located in Tokyo (in Ginza and Tsukiji) and Paris. Tokyo's Ginza store was designed by architect Kengo Kuma in the bamboo forest style, while Tsukiji's design is inspired by traditional tea ceremony umbrellas. The Paris branch on Rue de Seine was also designed by Kuma, and tea ceremonies and exhibitions are held here. The product range includes premium teas such as organic sencha, matcha, and genmaicha, which are made using 100% Japanese ingredients, as well as matcha sweets, desserts, nori-based snacks, and elegant gift sets.
