I liked the mosque, but I was disappointed that there were restrictions around. If you can walk on a carpet and sit in Istanbul, then in this mosque you can only walk along fenced paths. I was on the Ramadan holiday and the mosque was only open for tourists for 3 hours. I do not recommend visiting a mosque on religious holidays.

An overwhelmingly huge structure. Luxury is amazing - precious metals and stones are everywhere, handmade carpets on the floor. If you happen to be in Abu Dhabi, be sure to go. The entrance is not obvious - the domes stand apart from the mosque, passing through an underground passage you will get to this wonderful place.

The cost of the mosque is about 600 million Euros!!! It is interesting that earlier there was an oil fountain, which was drained and built such a grandiose and most beautiful mosque in the world! Secondly: has two world records, is listed in the Guinness Book of Records. The largest handmade carpet in the world is located here .The carpet is woven in Iran. 1200 craftsmen worked on it for 2 years. Size 5627 m2, used 35 tons of wool and 12 tons of cotton. The cost of the carpet was more than 8 million US dollars. It was delivered from Iran on two planes. And the biggest chandelier in the mosque. The diameter is 9 meters, the weight is 12 tons. an amazing place, we can say the whole tour was for him, we went specially from Sharjah, took a driver with a car for a day and visited several places at once.the entrance is free, but you need to register for the entrance, they give you a kuar code, then you will need to show it 5 times at each control and inside the mosque, too. parking is free underground, the entrance was made through a small shopping gallery, that's where we bought souvenirs. it's fenced inside, you can't walk on the carpet. to enter, women need completely closed clothes-we took our scarves, dressing gowns up to the heels and had to wear socks covering the ankles under sandals.there is a special inspection point at the entrance and if the clothes do not match, they will not let you in. we did not see any rental of abayas / robes, they said that the rental was removed. we visited the mosque on 03/15/2023.
