The house where Simon Bolivar was born is a hero and a national symbol of Latin America. He spent his childhood and adolescence here. It is built in the colonial style of red brick. It has an original layout with a courtyard and wide corridors. In the center of the courtyard stands a stone font in which Bolivar was baptized. The main locations of the museum are the bedroom (Simon's birthplace) and the study. The rooms are decorated with paintings and frescoes depicting heroic battles and scenes from the life of Bolivar. The museum has preserved the personal belongings of the Venezuelan hero: children's souvenirs, diaries, documents, a uniform, weapons and other memorabilia.
