The hostess greeted me warmly and escorted me out. The menu is close to the classic, which is nice, because it's nice to return to the "native". But the quality of food and hospitality is inferior to restaurants in Russia. A HUGE request to the manager: "Make cooling "guns" on the terrace! We decided to try Novikov in Dubai. Well. Visually, apart from the view of the Singing Fountain, it is an ordinary cafe that does not reach the restaurant, unlike the price category of dishes. Outside there is a reception desk. Inside, at the entrance, there is a showcase with desserts and a bar. There are tables around the edges and in the depths. There is a summer terrace outside the window. When she got to the couch, the administrator clarified: in what language the menu is needed. (It is already clear what choice native Russian speakers made). Picking up a cardboard sheet, there were notes of surprise in his eyes. The cost of one dish starts from 90 dirhams (2250₽). "Did you know that there is a high price tag in the Emirates, especially for restaurant cuisine" - will flash through your mind. Yes, I agree. That's the only reason we stayed to taste the carbohydrate order: 🫓 Rooibos tea (tree bark diluted with water) 2/10 Pasta Bolognese (not bad, but the protein component is not enough) 8/10 Oatmeal lasagna (I learned that it is made of oats at home by looking into the translator. The only thing that the taste buds felt was wet pasta sheets with tasteless meat sand) 4/10 🫓Napoleon cake (a dry piece with custard and decor for the price of a whole 2kg cake) 3/10 Of the disadvantages, you can add the lack of welcome bottled water, unlike the surrounding tables. I think they knew something and asked for a menu in a foreign language 😅 And so, apart from a quick serving of dishes, a free bread basket and an additional Free cheese for pasta with a view of the fountains, there is nothing remarkable.
