We had a rest in August in Menavila Safaga. I drove based on reviews and a few videos. In general, everything I read about the hotel is true. There are disadvantages, such as old rooms, broken air conditioning, not the best cuisine, winds and crows on the beach, remoteness from Hurghada, old towels, but everything is covered by the sea, a gorgeous beach and a friendly atmosphere in the hotel. It is the lovers of the Red Sea and relaxing holidays who come here. The entrance to the sea is good sandy, at first I put on corals, but when I studied the bottom a little, I went in without them. The water is clear when the sea is calm, you can watch fish standing on your feet in waist-deep water. There are a lot of animals in the sea, more than I expected from the reviews, there is something to see. But the most important thing is the sea green turtles. There are at least five of them there, and they don't come, they live there! You'll probably see them if you swim along the beach in a mask. You can swim with them, and it's very impressive. In winter, Safaga is not very comfortable because of the winds, I think, and in the summer season from May to November I highly recommend it for non-picky lovers of the red sea and relaxation.

There are not very good rooms with a view of the road, but there are few of them. The sea is wonderful, it's good to come with children not very deep, especially when the tide is out. There is a small coral reef, a lot of fish. There is a large coastal area with plenty of umbrellas. The food in the restaurant is not fancy, but you can always find something to eat. The disadvantage of the restaurant is very small. There are three options: 1 arrive early, 2 arrive later, 3 pay the waiter, he will reserve a table. By the way, there are a lot of waiters and they work smartly. On the beach, I was bothered once or twice by the smell of tanning beds. Also, every day at 10:00 a.m., a rattling (very) tourist yacht sails, and at 17:00 p.m. The territory is small, but you can take a walk. There is nowhere to walk behind the hotel. Cherkizon stores. Prepare tips are waiting everywhere. In general, I liked the rest, the main thing is the sea, and it's gorgeous.

We had a family vacation July 2025. Despite the heat, it was comfortable at sea and in the pool. The sea is gorgeous, there is enough space. There is an unobtrusive animation in the pool. The food is varied: fish, chicken, turkey, beef, fruits (melons, watermelons, dates, apples, bananas, figs, oranges), desserts. It was my son's birthday - they brought a huge cake and the waiters sang a chorus of congratulations. There were hamburgers by the pool in the afternoon - the children liked it. From 16-17 hours, the Amalie restaurant had puff pastry. Animation is interesting every day. I would like to thank Administrator Yaser separately. Yaser settled us and became our assistant for the entire rest period. There were problems in the air-conditioned room - the children did not want to change the place - the room was by the pool - Yaser helped to change the room - we were provided nearby and without changing the location - we continued to relax with good air conditioning. Yaser was always polite, friendly, supportive of conversation, and paid no attention to any request (to iron the laundry or change the towel, help top up the Internet bill, etc.). Yaser found a common language with our children))) There are no toothbrushes or slippers in the room, but the hotel has many outlets where you can buy it for a very inexpensive price no higher than in Russia - it's more profitable than taking it. And it is better to buy souvenirs near the hotel - prices are much cheaper than at the Hurghada airport. I was very surprised, and then I regretted that we hadn't bought more souvenirs. We stayed at this hotel in July 2025. The hotel is generally not bad. On the plus side: the staff is very kind and helpful. In the evening, discos are held for children, there is a Playground. We arrived late at night and were provided with a hot dinner. Of the cons: the furniture in the room is old, two beds and an old broken sofa were provided for three people. The hotel has a large area where there is no Wi-Fi (it is only in the lobby, and it works very poorly). Food is more difficult: there is a choice, but not much. If you are a vegetarian or have gastritis, know that you will have nothing to eat, as there are a lot of different spices in all dishes, especially spicy ones (even in soup). Also, there is no shade on the territory at all, where you can hide from the heat. The hotel did not meet our expectations for the amount paid.

We spent a week at this hotel October 2025. I'm with three kids. The biggest plus is the gorgeous sea and a sufficient number of sun beds and umbrellas. The food is specific, but varied. There are fish, chicken, meat, and plenty of sweet pastries. The territory is green and well maintained. The rooms are old, but if you tip at check-in, they can give you a better room. The service is good and the rooms are cleaned too, BUT if you tip. Without a dollar, they won't even look at you and the room won't be cleaned. I pulled the sun beds myself with three children, asked for the help of a beach worker, who helped me with a very unhappy face. Which left an unpleasant aftertaste. It's the same story in the restaurant, they just don't respond to me without a dollar. Also, here's what else I didn't like, when I checked in, I put my sweatshirt on my suitcases and went to dinner. It was only in the morning that I noticed the loss, of course, no one found the jacket. So keep a close eye on your belongings... to be honest, this is not a 4-star hotel, but in fact a 3-star hotel. I liked the place itself, but the staff was really upset. I don't want to come here anymore!

I was at the hotel in April 2025. I booked an improved room. I asked for a good view at the reception. So they gave it. The second floor has a large balcony, direct view of the pool and the sea. The room was spacious, everything worked, very well cleaned. A hotel for a measured and relaxing stay. There is no noise and crowds of people. The restaurant and bars are always quite free. The food is without any frills, but high-quality. The chefs come out to the guests and ask if they like everything. All the staff at the hotel is friendly and smiling, even the gardeners always say hello. A magnificent beach with sandy access to the sea. Very large umbrellas, a considerable distance between the sun beds, which creates privacy. There is a reef with a lot of fish. It's not deep there, so even someone who can't swim can take a dip. The animation is unobtrusive. There is no music or noisy activities by the pool. There are more Europeans vacationing, and there are no Arab families at all. There are several shops near the hotel.Merchants don't bother you, like in Hurghada. If you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle, this hotel is perfect for you. A quiet, cozy hotel for a relaxing holiday by the sea, on the first line. A beautiful room in the far building, next to the least crowded part of the beach, sandy seabed, convenient access for those who cannot swim, beautiful corrals "within walking distance" with an abundance of fish of the most fantastic colors (at low tide, if the sea is calm, you can walk to the coral and observe underwater life without diving). The room had: TV, mini-bar, safe, hairdryer, shower and bathroom. A kettle is provided upon request at the reception, but they do not issue irons and ironing boards. If you don't have a travel iron with you, then only the laundry room. The cost of washing 1 T-shirt or dress in 2023 was 30 pounds (1 dollar). During my stay at the hotel (September 3-14, 2023 and September 7-20, 2024), the hot water was not turned off once. The room was cleaned every day, there were no complaints about the cleaners. It's all clear. Apparently, it helped that I left a tip to the cleaner every day ($1). I really liked the beach – sandy, clean, in general, the territory of the hotel is well-groomed, containers for separate garbage collection are placed everywhere. There is a swimming pool, a spa center (very good), a diving and extreme sports center (kitesurfing, etc.), there are three bars (by the pool, on the shore and in the main building) and three restaurants (main, All inclusive, fish menu and, it seems, Italian, also with an order from the menu). I can't say anything about the bars – I ordered only tea there, and in the restaurant I ate only mostly for vacationers on the All-inclusive system. I really liked the food – varied, for every taste, in large quantities, no queues. I must say right away: I have a problematic gastrointestinal tract, I can't eat everything and am prone to intestinal infections. There were no problems at this hotel. What I liked: the water for tea and instant coffee here is not from a cooler (90 degrees), but boiled, safe (there are thermopots). The hotel has wonderful and unobtrusive animation: every evening, at 20.00 or later, a children's disco (although the music is the same, I'm tired), and then either an oriental show with a magnificent tanura dance, or a fire show, or a circus show, or a quiz like "Guess the melody". There's something new every day. I liked the tradition of congratulating the birthday people of the whole hotel at dinner. My new friend, whom I met there, had a birthday while staying at the hotel. She was presented with a cake with sparklers, sang Happy birthday in several languages, it was nice. The hotel's guests are mainly Germans and Poles, there are French, Czechs, Egyptian Arabs, tourists from Russia (these are mainly middle–aged people and young couples with children). There was no negative attitude towards our tourists either from the staff or from vacationers from other countries. Everyone is very friendly to each other. Safaga is conveniently located in terms of excursions: exactly in the middle of the way from Hurghada to Luxor, so it is convenient to travel from here to Luxor and Dendera. I went there and there in 2024. I am very happy with my stay at this hotel. In both 2023 and 2024, I really rested, relaxed, and recovered. This has not happened to me for a long time. The food is mostly good, there is always a choice of meat: beef, chicken, fish, vegetables, some fruits (mainly watermelon, guava, melon slices, oranges). About six varieties of tea (in tea bags). One of Egypt's favorite hotels. Once it was almost 100% populated by Russo tourists, but now Germans predominate. We returned to the hotel 10 years later to refresh all those positive impressions and did not lose out) everything there is somehow homey, good cuisine, good beach, rooms are bright and clean. I got a very nice room on the second floor. Excellent food. There are several types of meat and several cooking options, and every day. I was upset by a very unpleasant incident, my sister cut herself on corals, we went to the medical office, which was very advertised by the Russian nurse Elena, promised to do everything for free if anything ..., we addressed the problem, the nurse had her blood pressure and temperature measured, did something else, and told her to bring insurance, at the same time they did not let her out of the room, I brought the insurance, and then, of course, it was a big surprise for us that it turned out that our Russian insurance Agreement was not valid, and they immediately began to extort $ 50 from us without releasing us, well, of course, we were not going to give anything, because no medical care was refused, especially the alleged nurse behaved badly. Elena, she began to intimidate us, to urge us to have a conscience, that we simply had to pay, we said that there was no money, she began to speak bluntly, let the relatives transfer. In the end, we gave up, we didn't want to spoil the rest, and we fought with big male doctors, we gave away 20 old dollars (they are not listed there). So we warn you, no one will provide you with free medical care at the hotel, the mafia is working there, led by Elena. 🤣

I'm trying to write a review for the third time, it won't be published. everything that is written about the hotel is true, those in it have different categories of rooms and specifically in this hotel it is better to pay extra immediately upon booking and choose a better category, because they may not be available on site, they now have a large long-range building under repair. There are standard rooms that face the road (the entire hotel is located along the road) and it is impossible to sleep in them, you can hear every car. Superior rooms will be warmer, quieter, the bathroom is more comfortable, they are bigger. Most of the German pensioners here pay tips, so they are expected from the rest too.

We spent the first 3 days of our vacation in this hotel as a family (me, my husband, and my 9-year-old daughter). Then they moved to another one, cooler and more expensive. The exact dates of our vacation are here: October 31-November 3. And now we understand for sure that if we come back here, it will be only for the sake of the beach. He was great! With comfortable sun beds, with a pleasant sandy entrance! But it took a very long time to find the place... And having found it, go to the beach worker and ask for mattresses, as they were given out individually... And he always did it as reluctantly as possible. Just like all the employees here. Because they didn't even want to work at the basic minimum without additional pay. They were waiting for money for agreeing in principle to move for you. The food here was quite tasteless, I didn't always eat enough these three days. But, surprisingly, there was a very good coffee machine here, with good coffee and lattes. And about 14 people were given quite normal burgers by the pool. Although it wasn't mentioned anywhere in the schedule. By the way, the information about the pool surprised us. It was practically icy on our vacation dates (October 31-November 3). But it turned out that, in principle, it is never heated. Never! There was basically no Wi-Fi on the premises. The rooms are not very big. Small. The child's bed was almost right next to ours. With only three outlets (one of them was behind the refrigerator). And with a sooooo uncomfortable mattress. The toughest. There was also an extra carpet on the floor. I got in the way all the time and clung to everything. From the fact that there was nothing here (except for the cool sandy entrance to the sea, which is the main advantage of the hotel), I can't help but mention the animation. She was weak, but somehow she was present. We spent about half an hour in the evenings regularly, and there was stretching during the day... However, she would obviously like more. And on the last day, we asked to leave an hour later than scheduled (at 13) and we were allowed to do it without additional charges. This is a really good moment. In general, I don't even know under what circumstances I could come back here. Well, maybe for 4-5 days to soak up the sea cleanly and move to a cooler hotel (albeit with a worse beach).

The sun beds on the beach and by the pool are old and dirty to the point of impossibility, the same mattresses, all stained, filled with drinks. Of course, I understand everything, but still, you can wipe the mattresses and tables. It is clear that cleanliness and order are not monitored at all. I will not write much about the dining room, and so much has been written, there is a lot of food, the food is different, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers are simply tasteless. The only thing I liked was the pastries, there are a lot of them and they are different, really tasty. The only and very big plus of this hotel is a very large and wide sandy beach with a very convenient entrance to the sea. There are also small and very interesting coral reefs with beautiful fish. At sea, the reef sites are marked with red flags.In general, what I can say is that when you go into the sea and dive to admire the reef, all this hotel discomfort goes to hell. The sea is really beautiful and the reefs are really beautiful. So a dull and dirty hotel is not so terrible anymore.

The hotel stretches along the sea. Almost all rooms have a view of the sea or a piece of it. It is clear that there is right on the first line and there is further away. - food. It's 4 here, but it's quite decent. You won't be hungry. Meat, fish, chicken, duck, liver. - the staff. Everyone is friendly. And if you give a dollar, they will circle around you and anticipate your desires. We tipped for cleaning (not every day for $ 1), separately asked to change the bed linen (we were given $ 5), in the dining room they sometimes gave $ 1 to the waiter, they gave $ 20 for the room itself upon check-in. For a sunbed, they gave us $ 1 every day for the fact that we were occupied by the most trump sunbed and we slowly came to the beach by 10. But you could do without it and find a sunbed yourself. We were just too lazy. Cons: -the hotel is far from civilization. Safaga is almost a village. There's nowhere to go at all. It takes 50 minutes one way to Hurghada. We took a taxi from the hotel for $ 35 and went in the evening (the price includes the way there, back, waiting 2 hours). Our tour operator offered a free half-day excursion to Hurghada, but we decided that we did not want to drag around in the heat. - the number of rooms will be decently damaged.
