Not a big fan of modern art, plus there was not a lot of art there. Two good things though, they had a silver smithing demonstration going on with a guy making jewelry using old methods. Plus there is a small section of artifacts that is interesting.

a wonderful museum! it's beautiful inside, the staff are ready to help and tell you where. There were many signatures at the exhibition, which allowed us to understand the context of the works and get to know the artist better. The paintings are lovingly decorated in modern monotonous frames All that's missing is a souvenir shop, and I'd love to buy postcards with reproductions of paintings or a notebook as a keepsake.

If you have at least an hour of free time, spend it in this gallery, you won't regret it! I visited it when it was +40 ° C. The comfortable temperature inside contributed to an adequate perception: a wonderful collection of works of art! I was particularly impressed by Russian artists who either lived and created art in Uzbekistan, or visited it with "retirement" trips (in any case, at the expense of the state in the 20-30s of the last century), such as Benkov. There are many other outstanding names and masters - I will not anticipate your possible charm of this gallery. Along with the venerable masters, modern Uzbek artists are also represented, who in turn leave a very pleasant, fresh impression. The Lotte Plaza Hotel is just a 10-13 minute walk in a straight line. Only the Romanov Villa can lead you astray! But since it is not yet available, only an external inspection, feel free to move into the gallery, even if you are modestly oriented towards art, it will not leave you indifferent!

It was very interesting to see the pictures of different artists. The exhibition "In search of the Lost Amulet" was excellent! I saw the wonderful work of jeweler Sh.Raupova. I recommend you to go and see the wonderful Uzbek jewelry art. The gallery staff is polite and welcoming.

An interesting building in the city center. There is a subway nearby. Exhibitions are held periodically. I managed to get in for free. I got to an exhibition of Turkic artists. There were a lot of works on display, although the halls looked barely filled with paintings. The exhibition under the stairs was a separate one about Uzbekistan 100 years ago. Well, an exhibition of photos of a German female photographer. The toilets on the basement are generally satisfactory.

I really liked the gallery itself. The first evening we arrived at about 17:00 and the tired "girl" at the checkout said that we would not have time for anything. In the morning we came to the opening, bought 2 tickets for 50 thousand, as for foreigners + 25 thousand for the tour. The girl guide was busy and we were guided by the Head of the gallery. The tour lasted almost 3 hours, we were told everything from the history of the creation and replenishment of the gallery to the peculiarities of the author's styles and techniques. Three hours flew by not noticeably at all, but it brought a lot of positive emotions.

The place is frankly not conducive to visiting ... immediately after entering, two women tired of everything at the checkout, although there are no people from the word "at all" ... no excursion program (why there are no guides on the day off is not clear), no audio guides. The price list says in Russian that the entrance ticket is 10 t.s., but guests from Moscow are shown a sign in English!!! They ask you to pay 50 t.s. per person

A small building, quiet inside, nothing distracts from viewing paintings, but the collection of paintings itself does not leave any vivid impression. The works are hung haphazardly, different styles, genres and authors are mixed chaotically. I liked a couple of the works, the rest didn't catch on. * the most striking impression is the luxurious oriental dome ceiling!))
