🐪 Today we managed to visit the Rabat-i Malik Caravanserai, a majestic "Royal Fortress" of the XI century, which served as a stop on the Great Silk Road, through the Samarkand-Bukhara segment. What struck me: The monumentality: The Rabat-i Malik Portal is a real monument of Karakhanid architecture. Despite the fact that the complex has undergone several demolitions and restorations, the original masonry of the almost thousand-year-old portal is impressive. Nearby is Sardoba Malik, an ingenious water tank that supplied water to caravans in the desert. These two structures are an excellent example of how ancient nomads solved the problem of living in an arid region. It is worth coming to see this unique "stop" on the path of time and imagine the life of the medieval Silk Road.

This place is located between Samarkand and Bukhara, near the city of Navoi. You will be greeted by the huge high gates of Rabat-i-Malik, which are the "entrance area" to the territory of the buildings. Interestingly, this architectural monument is part of the Silk Road. It was here that the inn was located, where travelers stopped for the night. The scale of the ruins, of course, is amazing... The guide talked a lot about how this place used to look: many different buildings, tall guard towers and the exit from this small "mini-city" from the other side. Anyway, if you're here, don't forget to get to the Caravanserai.

This is one of the historical sites in Uzbekistan. One of the caravanserais that have survived to this day, where caravans carrying goods along the Great Silk Road stopped. It has been restored and now we see a large and impressive building in which merchants found shelter and protection in the Middle Ages. High stone walls surround an open courtyard, along the perimeter of which there are places for eating and sleeping, rooms for storing goods and keeping animals.

The facade is pretty, well restored, with only the remains of the foundation of former buildings behind it.

A great addition is that the panoramic view function has appeared. As far as I know, this feature was previously unavailable in Uzbekistan
