If possible, choose a different route from the EU to the Russian Federation. Long queues, full inspection of suitcases and bags at the border. Beware of scammers who sell queue seats on a banned network. You will lose both money and time.

One of the advantages is the polite staff, especially from the Russian side. One of the disadvantages is a huge queue. I had to stand for more than three hours just to get there! They say that they were lucky, others had to stand much longer. In general, it's quite a challenge. Don't set foot there anymore!

we were in October 2024, the queue outside is 7 o'clock, if you don't make it to 11, then overnight at the hotel.

Everything is well organized. The queue sump is on the outskirts of the city, no one is pushing at the border. You can sign up for a certain time (range - 1 hour) through the website, you can get in a live queue. It's bad that it's paid -4.5 euros (even by appointment, even on a first-come, first-served basis). Everything is fine at the checkpoint itself: everyone is polite, everything is fast, traffic lights, barriers, everything is under the roof. (And no papers with numbers)))))

If possible, choose other routes and beware of scammers! On FB, they offer the sale of places in the queue, with prepayment. As a result: lost money and time. Local law enforcement agencies don't care!

We arrived at the border by regular bus. There were about 30 of us. The time is about one o'clock in the morning. It is clear that only one specialist works. However, I have not seen such politeness in any country in the world! Either we Russians are a special nation, or Estonians have a special attitude towards us. He tortured two guys for half an hour! And the other 30 people stood patiently and waited for their turn...

On the Estonian side, it is the best border crossing in the Northwest. Everything is always clear, fast, and correct. And when there are clusters of cars in the sump, this is usually a consequence of problems on the Russian side. The booking system works very well too. In general, I have five points.

When leaving Estonia, it is necessary to stand in a long queue to take the ticket to another queue and pay the service fee "for leaving Estonia". In the second queue, on a small screen, track the number of your car and take another ticket to cross the border. And then you have only 20 minutes to get to the border at the third point. The border guards say to go left, but forget to say that to the left under the bridge. As a result, you can lose time and go through the queues for coupons again. Just like in the USSR!!! You're looking forward to our border to relax. Otherwise, everything is calm. The information about queues is incorrect on the site. When entering Estonia, everything was simple, without coupons, and very polite border guards on both sides.

From the Estonian side, everything is wonderful! Clean and tidy, tourist. The buses are passing fast! But from the Russian side-so-so, the toilets smell terrible, the customs building is not in the best shape. I would like to make a repair

There is nothing to complain about on the Estonian side, everything is fast and efficient, clean toilet, clean rooms, everything is cultural. The Russian side is the complete opposite

the Estonians did everything beautifully - 6 checkpoints, traffic light entrances, a separate lane for buses, a separate point for trucks. We should have done something at least on our part... It's a shame for the state - the contrast is wild

The border checkpoint is a kind of brief description (face) of the state, the Estonian checkpoint is convenient and comfortable, clean and well maintained. Unlike the Russian one, it's just a disgrace.

The best transition I've ever been to. Everything is clear. There is one manager on the stop line. Receives information on the vacant seats on the radio, tells the driver the number of the window to which it is necessary to go. When you arrive, you are already met by a customs officer / border guards in one person (just a personal manager). He shows where to park the car, takes documents from all passengers, asks the driver to open the doors and trunk, asks questions "from where to where" and whether there is anything prohibited. Then he goes into his booth. The passengers get out of the car and approach the booth. The manager, looking at the passengers through the huge windows, stamps the passports and gives them to the driver in a bundle. all. Have a nice trip!!! 5 minutes and everyone is free. I'm not talking about the convenience of booking a queue to leave Estonia. On March 9, I arrived at the distribution site at the right time. My number was already on the scoreboard. I received a ticket, drove to the checkpoint, passed the border. It took 20 minutes. Shine. Well done👍👍👍

A convenient new point, the floors are smooth everywhere. The suitcase on wheels goes perfectly. Passports are checked promptly, no queue is created. The toilet is comfortable and clean.

Everything is OK on the border itself, the border guards are friendly and sociable! But the waiting point for a call to the border ...... a paddock with a concrete fence from which it is impossible to leave (we waited in line for 5 hours), two cubicles in the toilet, filthy as if at a punk band concert and WiFi, which seems to be there, but in fact it worked for 10 minutes at most...

Excellent staff, everything is well organized,no red tape, the only thing that Estonia did not like was the electronic paid queue. But otherwise I was very satisfied.

There are many Russian Estonians working there. They can search it, they can skip it there - if they're lucky. They are not working slowly, but the last time I stood at their border for an hour, although there was no queue, and we were leaving the EU territory.

Clean, warm. In contrast to the Ross point, the difference is great, for the better. It's about buildings. People are good everywhere and that's great.

It's just awful! On the tour bus towards Narva, we stood at the Estonian border for 4 hours, they let everyone pass except our buses, they kept us in a septic tank for 6 hours, and the border was free. It is not clear for what reason...

From the Estonian side, everything is fine and clear, but from the Russian side it is just darkness, absolute disorganization and everything is very slow. This is especially true for weekends and holidays, of course.

The crossing from the Estonian side, the checkpoint is magnificent. And on. On the Ivangorod side, the checkpoint simply disgraces the country. Squalor and sloppiness. The one who accepted this building should be sent for labor re-education.

It is an extremely convenient border crossing. The new terminal is envious. And it is a pity that there is no such thing in Ivangorod and, most likely, there will never be anything like this in terms of the degree of improvement. Although I don't think it cost the Estonians any astronomical money. And it was built in just a year. Fast and accurate work of Estonian employees. Our "sleepy flies" have a lot to learn from the "hot Estonian guys".

The car passage was closed. The pedestrian crossing is a live queue for many hours. The carriers say "an average of an hour and a half", but in fact the queue has advanced by 20% in an hour and a half. There are no grocery stores nearby. That's how people stand for several hours in different weather conditions on the street without water or food.. someone with children..

We drove on Saturday afternoon, 12/21/19. We crossed the border on foot. There was a queue for about 15 minutes at the Russian border. And another 30 minutes on Estonian (a big bus came right in front of us). In the evening, around 19 there was a queue only at the Russian border, we stood for 30 minutes. But in general, it is possible to live, because it was not cold.

Hello. I have something to compare it with, because I live in Svetogorsk, bordering Finland. Frankly, the Narva border checkpoint is better! Both border guards and customs officers are friendly, moderately serious, and more respectful. Thank you, the border crossing was quick.

A normal point. It remains only to improve the situation with the septic tank. You book, everything seems to be clear, but the live queue sometimes passes faster. I didn't fully figure it out. What a joke.

The place in the photo, the Friendship Bridge from the Russian customs. The place from which almost all the sights of the border town of Narva open. The fortress, the promenade and the historical part of the city.

There is no room, in winter, except to keep warm in the car! Not to mention a cup of hot tea/coffee. The toilet is in the middle of nowhere! But people stay there for hours, or even days! In general, the disgusting organization of waiting!

Often, border guards simply do not want to work on the Russian side, it is not clear why they show the stamp and passport so many times, it is better to put more booths and put these people in jail for checking a full set of documents, they do not want to expand the terminal, as from Estonia, so that there are 8 windows

The border crossing is quite fast, with the exception of pre-holidays. So, for example, recently we stood in the septic tank for about 4 hours and plus 1.5 hours at the border itself. Although a couple of weeks before, the passage took no more than 1.5 hours.
