1. In June 2024, I applied to the Cosmedica Hair Transplant Clinic (Istanbul, Turkey). I sent a photo of the head (photo 1) and received a reply.: "It will take 2 days of surgery and only 4 days in Istanbul. According to the preliminary photo, about 5,000 grafts are recommended for transplantation. We always try to transplant as many grafts as possible. The final decision is yours and will be made in personal consultation with Dr. Akar." (photo 2). 2. I looked at examples of work with 5000 grafts (photos 3 and 4). I chose the most expensive method of operation - the DHI + microSapphire package - 3000€ (1 operational day up to 4000 grafts). An additional day is 900 € (when more than 4,000 grafts are needed) (Photo 5). I went for surgery. 3. On the first day of the operation, they took tests, consulted with Dr. Akar for 10 minutes, and went for surgery. The operation is performed by young people, possibly students or graduates of a medical university. Then came the second day of the operation. On the second day, the operation was painful, despite the anesthesia. According to the clinic, I received 5,000 grafts. 4. On the third day, they washed their hair, gave medicines, instructions and a 10-year warranty certificate. In total, he paid 4,330 euros for the operation and medicines, excluding travel expenses. 5. Followed all recommendations during the year. 9 months after the operation, the result was already visible (photos 6 and 7, where 6 – 6 months after the hair transplant; 9 – 9 months after the hair transplant; 12 – 12 months after the hair transplant). 12 months after the operation, I noticed that the result did not match the one advertised by the clinic (photos 3 and 4) and that there was less hair compared to the 9th month. I contacted the clinic about this. 6. I was informed: "I will send your photos to the quality control department and make a request for correction. The answer may take about two weeks, as the doctor must look at the photo and make a decision." (photo 8). The reply came three hours later: "The doctor managed to look at the photo now. He said that the transplanted grafts had grown according to the surgery plan. A second session is needed to increase the density" (photo 8). I began a long correspondence with the clinic, in which they convinced me that this was the way it should be, they gave me many arguments and warned me about the possibility of a second operation. I was not informed about the possible reasons for the decrease in the amount of hair, but I was told: "As for the photos, the difference in lighting and head position plays a role here. I think there was a misunderstanding related to the expectation of the operation and the real picture of the hair. You have a good result, considering the volume of the baldness area. To increase the density, we recommend a second session" (photo 9). "On 1 operational day, you purchase a package of up to 4,000 grafts, you will have a 200 euro discount on any package. If you take a DHI package - 2990 euros." (photo 10). And then they added: "If your expectation is very thick hair, then even after the second session this will most likely not be achieved, since initially the area of baldness is quite voluminous, and the possibilities of the donor zone are limited. During the second session, it will be possible to add density to the center and top of the head," and they suggested waiting until the hair loss becomes even more noticeable. (photo 11). Draw your own conclusions. 7. As a result: I am not satisfied with the result, it does not meet my expectations and the promotional photos of the clinic. The head looks like that of a balding man. From a legal point of view, a foreigner is not protected in any way, so keep this fact in mind. I do not recommend the Cosmedica Clinic (Istanbul, Turkey).

Organization of the event: I got an advertisement, got interested, left a request, after which they contact you, explain everything in a clear language, what will happen and how much it will cost, how long it will take, when and what result should be expected. You think, you make a decision, you send a photo to determine the amount of work. After agreeing on the operation, all that remains is to take round-trip tickets to Istanbul, and Cosmedica does EVERYTHING else: pick up at Istanbul airport, comfortable transfer to your chosen hotel (several options are offered), daily transfer to / from the operation, at the end of all procedures, of course, transfer to the airport. All household issues and issues related to procedures, including during surgery, are promptly resolved, a permanent translator is provided and a chat with your supervisor is provided. In general, there are absolutely no questions about the high level of service organization. Great job. For the operation: the first day of registration, tests, consultation with Dr. Achar, clarification of the scope of work and time for the operation (1 or 2 days), you need to be prepared mentally and financially that the operation can last for two days, tickets should also be taken with this in mind. There is only one reason - the time to perform a painstaking and lengthy operation, since first of all you need a result, you should not rush here. After all the procedures, clear recommendations are also given, as well as all the necessary medicines and means to restore the condition. If time permits, it is better to stay in Istanbul for a few days, firstly, there is something to see, and secondly, just in case the clinic is nearby. In general, I absolutely do not regret that I turned to Cosmedica, the work is clean and professional, I found what I was looking for. They have a big hand in the hair transplant complex. It also inspires confidence that during my lifetime, operations were performed for several patients from different countries.
