The price is okay. The quality is good. It's clean. The waiter was a bit overzealous and pushy. It's simply too loud in there. We were glad to be outside again. A great location in the very center of the old city of Bukhara near Labi Havuz. The restaurant has 2 halls located opposite each other. The first hall is located in the authentic premises of a former caravanserai. The new basement is decorated in the style of a rich house of a Bukhara merchant of the late 19th century, with access to the roof terrace, which offers a magnificent view of the old town. In my opinion, the new hall turned out to be more comfortable. The service is beyond praise (the young man Arseny is doing well), the fast work of the kitchen, excellent food, a good selection on the menu, cleanliness everywhere. There is live music. Humane prices, they do not charge an additional percentage for the service. It is better to book places in advance, people come here actively.

Absolutely stunning location in the historical center of the city. Among all the places we visited in Uzbekistan, this was the best for me. The prices are above average, but the dishes are worth it. We took pilaf, samsa, and a couple of other local dishes, everything was fresh, juicy, delicious, and the portions were of sufficient size. Excellent service, fast, courteous. Live music was playing in the restaurant. It was a pleasure to be in this place. Special thanks to the receptionist, who was able to find the only available table, so I advise you to book a table in advance, if you come here, we were just lucky.

The best restaurant in Bukhara! The guide said that it was necessary to go, half of the tour group picked up that there was super service, and this is very valuable, because service in Uzbekistan is scarce, delicious cuisine, etc., but it is difficult to get a reservation in at least 2 weeks. As a result, 10 minutes after the call, they were ready to receive us for 1.5 hours, but we didn't need more. Yes, the service there is excellent, the guys went to a meeting and found a table, with full occupancy, the kitchen is excellent. Everywhere, in all restaurants, cafes, canteens, the service fee is included in the bill, there is no service fee here and it is prescribed in the receipt! One of the advantages is the interior, live music. 5 points is a very high rating for the cuisine and the service does not exactly match, we visited this restaurant 1.5 years ago. The kitchen and service have become different. Alcoholic drinks are listed on the menu as in a snack bar, for example, Old Samarkand cognac - only the name is 50 ml and the price is 50,000. When asked what kind of exposure, the waiter could not give a clear answer, he clarified at the bar. Not all of the declared items were available. Bottled beer only. Two types of lagman were ordered from the food- boiled noodles, it feels like they added canned tomato paste with small pieces of meat, the second Uighur is also boiled noodles. Tips are not included in the bill, which is a plus, because there is nothing to thank you for. Apparently the owner has changed or another chef has become, it's a pity that it didn't taste so good.

We visited this restaurant on 29.01.2026 on the advice of our guide. The restora is located in the historical center of Bukhara, the menu has a large number of traditional dishes, we chose two of those that we had not tried before: kayish with gravy and kurutob. Everything turned out to be very tasty, they arrived quickly, the service was excellent, everyone was friendly, they explained in detail the composition and specifics of the dishes. The interior also deserves attention, the restaurant is located in the building where the Caravanserai used to be located, which creates the atomosphere of ancient Bukhara. Very clean and cozy!

We chose this restaurant based on reviews and were not mistaken. The manti are the most delicious I've ever tasted in Uzbekistan, the Uighur style is good, and the liver kebab is tender. Joy restaurant is rightfully considered one of the best restaurants in Bukhara. My husband and I have been there twice. The first time Ali served us, everything was wonderful and perfect. Delicious pumpkin pies, airy samsa with cheese and herbs. Laghman in Uighur style and the best pilaf we ate during our week-long stay in Uzbekistan. A nice feature of the restaurant is that the tip is not included in the receipt. After such a wonderful lunch, we wanted to go there for dinner, but there were no empty tables. But we did reserve a table for lunch the next day. If you want to visit this restaurant, book a table in advance. The next day, the interior remained just as impressive and cozy, the music was unobtrusive, the waiters were courteous, but there was no pilaf. We were very upset. After all, Bukhara pilaf is the hallmark of Bukhara, and it is not an easy task for a tourist to find the right place where it is well prepared. I had to take other dishes. The kutab with greens was slightly burnt, but it was delicious. The tapaka chicken was delicious, but ordinary, and the beef and vegetables that the waiter advised my husband to take turned out to be tough and fibrous. The chunks of fat that were supposed to soften it when roasting together did not play a role. Therefore, 4 stars. It would be great to diversify the soup menu with vegetarian soups. There is only mashed lentil soup on the menu. It would be possible to include green cabbage soup or pumpkin cream soup in the menu. According to the season, both traditional and lighter ones :)

We ate in several restaurants in Bukhara, but only here everything came together: the quality of the cuisine, the level of service, the atmosphere (modern, but with a light and pleasant touch of Uzbek culture). I would especially like to mention the staff: from the hostesses at the entrance to the waiters - perfect! 100% recommended visit! Favorites from the ordered food: - lamb shish kebab (excellent roast. A good portion) - salad with crispy eggplant. Without too much salt, the sauce is delicious, in moderation - puff pastry (I don't remember the name) - mini samsa with lamb. Magical. PS: we didn't get to the restaurant right away. Very convenient location - right in the center of Bukhara at Lyabi Havruz, spacious room (two floors with narrow authentic stairs), clean and beautiful. The menu doesn't have any gastronomic delights, but I think everyone will find a dish to their liking. The prices are also quite affordable, compared to the surrounding establishments (there is no 18% of the bill as in the establishments nearby). But, not everything is so perfect. I ordered the first and second courses. The first one arrived quickly enough, chicken noodle soup - it's quite difficult to spoil it, and it wasn't spoiled. But with the second one, everything turned out to be much more complicated. I waited for the dish for an hour and a half, while the waiter immediately warned that I would have to wait, but designated 20-30 minutes. We were reminded several times that we were waiting for the second course and salad, the answer was "The dishes are very complex and are still being prepared." As a result, the salad was brought to my colleague an hour later, I didn't wait for the second one and just paid off and left. Yes, the waiter was very apologetic, but to the question * Why couldn't you just warn about the heavy workload in the kitchen? "I couldn't answer anything. I would add that there was no load in the cafe, half of the tables are empty.
