A beautiful fortress on a hill, there is parking inside. There is a beautiful view of the lake from the bastions. Clean and sparsely populated.

It's a difficult place. Too much blood has been spilled here. It began with the treacherous murder of a Russian parliamentarian, which resulted in the Battle of Wilmanstrand, and continued into the First World War and the Finnish Civil War. The modern silence and cleanliness here are very deceptive.

An iconic historical place! Wonderful view of the port. The temple was built by soldiers of A.V. Suvorov. We recommend visiting the museum and having a coffee at the Mayor's cafe.

I haven't been inside, but it's not impressive from the outside, it's just a historical building, it doesn't look like a fortress.
