It's a beautiful fortress, it's better to go as early as possible, because it's sooooo hot. The stones heat up and become 100 times hotter. The view from the tower is very pleasant. The children enjoyed walking around the fortress, walking through the narrow passages, and looking into the rooms.

It's a big building, you can go inside, walk around the fortress, go upstairs, and look at the beautiful views of the city. The ticket costs 8 dinars.

Ribat Monastir is a historical fortress located in the city of Monastir, Tunisia. It was built in the 9th century and served as both a military fortification and a place for spiritual practice. Ribat is of strategic importance and is one of the most important examples of Islamic architecture in Tunisia. The fortress is notable for its massive walls and towers, as well as beautiful courtyards and a mosque. It also served as a place for the training and residence of warrior monks who defended the territory from enemies. Today Ribat Monastir is a popular tourist attraction, attracting visitors with its history, architecture and picturesque views of the Mediterranean coast.

A perfectly preserved landmark. It is not expensive, at the entrance they are interested in which country they are from and give out a guidebook in their native language. The bathrooms are clean.

Of all the Tunisian cities that I visited, the city of Monastir impressed me the most. Visit, I recommend, you will not regret it. Everything can be described and told endlessly, but it's better to see it with your own eyes one day. Walk through the narrow streets, bargain at the local market, and in Russian. Many residents speak it fluently. Sit in a cozy cafe and try the dishes prepared by the chef right there, especially for you. Walk along the embankment, admire the especially blue sea. Gorgeous, I love Monastir.

The place is interesting. The entrance fee is 7 dinars - about 170 rubles with photography. Beautiful views from the top of the fortress to the sea and the city. 360 degree videos can be found on YouTube. You can estimate how interesting it will be for you to visit there.

A small fortress, but there is a place to climb. Gorgeous views from the observation decks. There are no guides and no intrusive service. Entrance 8 TD.
