Level 8 Local Expert

Big, clean, well equipped. Easy to find place for sit or to get tasty food. But poor shopping options, not great choice of cosmetic brands/products in Duty free, popular shops like Leggo or Samsung or Lux brands of clothes are not even presented by small official conners. Just Grand Bazaar with roof and escakators. There is nothing to do if you stay there for more than an hour while you wait for your flight.

One of the best and biggest airports in the world. It is very easy to reach by metro and private airport buses. The interiors are spacious, airy and enjoyable. It has a very nice architectural structure. Although it is one of the busiest airports in the world, you can travel without any problems. The entire operation is very well planned and executed. It is the most awarded airport in the international arena in recent years.

We faced a problem with our tranzit zone Frankfurt. Istanbul airport’s staff didn’t allow us to fly to Frankfurt because of no visa. We wondered?!? They demanded us visa for transit airport. Interestingly, a week after that our second group countymates flew from Istanbul to Frankfurt (as a transit airport) without any problem.

One of the most modern airports in the world. Spacious, clean, and very well organized despite its enormous size. Plenty of shops and dining options. Security is efficient and signage is clear, though walking distances can be long—so plan ahead. Overall, a great travel hub for international connections.

What an absolute horror of an airport. Vast distances to walk, long queues at the transfer security area and incredibly expensive food and drink - if there’s any other way to get to your destination, take it.

Very nice airport. Very clean with a lot of nice shops and boutiques. Fast service,nice people. I give them 4 stars only because of wi-fi available only for 1 hour.

Probably one of the best airports in the world. Would recommend going atleast 3 hours before your flight to experience its duty free and everything else it has to offer although its on the pricey side

The airport is too big You get tired while just getting off the plane before passport control. And if you also have a bag, then it can be a real torment. You have to pay for everything, for every little thing. Like a shopping cart, Wi-Fi. It's free in my country. That's why it's wild for me. There was a situation when I was in transit through Istanbul. And I had to pick up all three suitcases. I didn't have any cash and my card doesn't work anywhere except in my country. I had to be a beggar. To pay for the cart. The impressions are not very good in general. I hope I won't come back again.

Great airport. Love to arrange connecting flights here. Huge but well organized. Has variety of restaurants and shops. Not complicated to navigate, but sometimes can be a bit exhausting when the gate is located too far.

It is a very large and beautiful airport. Every meter of this airport is well maintained and under surveillance. There is no need to worry about security, as the security level is very high. It’s one of the most pretty airports I’ve enter, it’s huge, well organized. The stuff is really nice, kind, helpful and friendly, there is a big variety of restaurants and stores.

Very comfortable place. If I need to have a stop in my trip so I prefer the Istanbul Airport. The only problem is internet with tickets 🎫 i was a witness when people didn’t load their back tickets and didn’t made a trip because of the verification process. Anyway recommend the airport area

Large and hectic. However give yourself plenty of time and exercise patience. Less than 2.5 hours for layover between flights almost impossible to catch the next flight.

Food prices in general are unrealistically high. Besides this negative point, the new airport is very pleasing, its easy to move around, enough spaces to sit, immigration and security have plenty of lanes.

A huge airport, nice and welcoming. Yet one has to sit next to a departure board to learn about one's departure gates, because the announcement comes only in about an hour before departure, and the gates may be on the other side of the airport (that may take 30 mints to wark to). There are no free hot spots there. To have 1 hour of a free internet connection, one has to register using one's passport (!).

Huge place. Some good shopping option but most of the brands are outrageously expensive. Also 1 hour free wifi is not too great if u r stuck there. Always the option to buy more but still everywhere else it's free wifi all the time

Everything is too expensive. If you are hungry or thirsty you need to pay a fortune to buy food or drink . The exchange points are cheating people. There are too many shops, it looks like grand bazaar and everything extremely expensive. In this airport everything organized to rob the passengers. Don’t buy anything.

It's very big. Too big! Feet start to hurt before you can get to the gate. Prices on food are super high, but that's what airports do. Overall I never had problems with my flights.
