A nice fast food restaurant with friendly staff. Be aware - they don’t accept bank cards, only cash.

There are wizards working here who cook so deliciously. I ate fish in a pot, and that's the only reason I want to return to Istanbul. I found food for my daughter, who is fastidious in food, and she ate the whole portion of spaghetti non-baletano, and they had a very tasty sauce. Friends ate shawarma from fish, and it was also magical. We were also pleased with the prices, unlike other establishments, they are acceptable. I recommend you to visit, and I hope you will experience the same pleasure))

The most decent place among the cheap kebabs in the area. Prices are lower here relative to Turkish prices. The food is the most delicious for me among the rest. I like fish shava and salads (large portions).

If you are a true gourmet and your main goal is to find the most phenomenally delicious durum ball, then I highly recommend this place, but I warn you right away: get ready for a unique experience! About the main thing: balyk durum is just a bomb! This is what it's worth coming here for, turning a blind eye to absolutely everything else. The mackerel is incredibly fresh, juicy, perfectly smoked, expertly seasoned. Lavash is tender, fresh vegetables perfectly complement the taste, and pomegranate sauce is a separate story that brings this culinary masterpiece to the absolute. Every bite is a pure, genuine gastronomic delight. For the sake of this taste, you can close your eyes to some inconveniences. And now about the "nuances". Environment: forget about fashion, design or comfort. The atmosphere of "Spartan minimalism" reigns here, it seems, the century before last. The tables and chairs were battered, and the furniture was tired and hadn't been updated in years. Don't count on beautiful photos for social media or long gatherings. Atmosphere and welcome: the place is clearly not about friendliness. The atmosphere is rather inhospitable, the staff does not seek to give smiles or conduct intimate conversations. Rather, on the contrary, you feel uncomfortable. Service: unfortunately, the service leaves much to be desired. It's slow, often indifferent, and sometimes it feels like you're distracting the staff from something more important. If you expect attention and care, then you won't find them here. Bottom line: if the most important thing for you is the uncompromising, amazing taste of food, and you are ready to completely ignore the strange interior, unfriendly surroundings, and not the best service, then this place is a must-visit. The durum ballet is so good here that all the disadvantages instantly fade. PS: this is by no means the only place where this business card of Istanbul is well prepared.

Just yesterday we were there, the chefs cook deliciously, ordered balyk duryum and a frying pan with beef + tea , came in the evening it was already cold , hot tea was brought in 5 minutes , they forgot about the dishes , they remembered about us after the reminder and the tea they drank , the dishes were brought in 20-25 minutes, they asked for tea again, the waiter promised to bring But after 5 minutes he came to inform me that the kettle was just heating up, in 10 minutes there would be tea! Of course , they didn 't bring us any more tea , we washed down our food with bottled water ! When, after the bill, I said guys, this is not a service, it's the devils that don't work like that, they were offended, but what's wrong?? Well, there was no tea ... 😃 The congestion was 40 percent, but everyone in the cafe is busy with anything but customers , there is no point in going here, there are much better places!

I visited this place 5 years ago. The founder of the cafe was still alive then, he cooked on the grill for the guests. Balik kebab (shawarma with mackerel) - the hallmark of the establishment has changed the recipe and not for the better. Then the recipe was more original and tastier. But in general, it's not bad: they offer a wide range of marine products.

An ordinary street cafe ! With standard Istanbul food. Mackerel in lavash is no worse and no better than in other places. There is alcohol. 5 stars for clean tablecloths, dishes and unobtrusive service. The receipt for two adults and two children is 2 thousand liras..

Delicious food, great atmosphere, we were in the summer, we ate on tables outside. The fish in lavash (balyk duryum) is simply divine. The landing is complete. The food was prepared quickly. The waiters are polite. If I'm still there, I'll definitely stop by to eat.

Great fish in pita bread. It's delicious, juicy, and the signature sauce is simply divine. The tea we ordered turned out to be a pleasant bonus. He wasn't included in the bill. Fast and friendly service.

It's a cool place, ducks and roosters walk next to the tables behind the fence, the fish is delicious, they have balyk durum in their signature recipe (you don't smell fish and onions all day long, like in some places nearby). There is beer))))) But fried mutton is still expensive, I would ask for a discount on it.

Wonderful, the most delicious balyk duryum. It's worth coming here to enjoy it. The place is very popular, there are a lot of people. You have to wait for a place. We were lucky and we sat down at a table very quickly. There are very tasty fish and salads. You can have a full meal. We will definitely come back to Istanbul next time. We recommend it to everyone.

An honest review of a promoted place. A company of 5 people came, it was very dirty, the staff was not friendly, they seated us. We made the order quickly, we just ordered five pieces of balyk durum. BUT after 40 minutes, the food did not arrive, they were about to leave already, the staff ran up and brought everything within 10 minutes. The fish in the lavash is not bad, but places with similar dishes are much tastier and the portions are larger. Would you come here again? - no. Do we recommend going? - no. Don't waste your time, find a much better place, and there are plenty of them there.

The establishment grew out of a street stall that once got into the Istanbul street food review. What was remarkable about the place was not even the food, but the colorful chef, very similar to Mario from the well-known game. The man cooked heartily and was very friendly. Perhaps a combination of factors contributed to the take-off and expansion of the business. For many years now, it's not Mario who's behind the counter, but the changing chefs. But body art and banners remind you of a charismatic entrepreneur. Now it's a whole seafood restaurant (well, that's what it says). To be honest, this place cannot be called a restaurant in any way. But it's worth a look here to enjoy a truly delicious balik-ekmek. Balik-ekmek (literally - fish in bread) is a gastronomic business card of Istanbul. The dish is very simple, but satisfying, balanced and delicious. Usually, mackerel, vegetables, herbs and a crispy bun are used for cooking. But I prefer fish in lavash - balyk-duryum. Mario's is great! But I recommend taking a takeaway and not staying in the "restaurant". The service in the establishment is disgusting. The waiters are unhurried and unfriendly. The feeling of doing a favor. Tables stand along the street and are wired to a chain link fence around the lawn. There are dirty tablecloths on the tables. There are no napkins, although they are provided. In short, in order not to spoil the impression of the food, it is better to eat on the embankment overlooking the Golden Horn. Total: Food - 5 Service - 2 Atmosphere - 3 P.S.: I threw a star for a rooster into the atmosphere. He's been walking around the place for a year and a half now. When I visit Istanbul, I try to visit him and am always very happy to see him. If you meet him too, take a picture)) I want to know that he's doing well))

I expected the best, but alas, I'm not thrilled at all. Dishes and appliances are dirty. The tables are located across the street where vehicles are constantly passing, so some kind of cleanliness is out of the question. Maybe it used to be a good and attractive place, but now it's deplorable. I won't go there anymore, and the price tag is unreasonably high.

Terrible service, fell for the recommendation of a well-known travel program. It's not worth it, you've wasted your time. We stood for 25 minutes, waiting for the fish in the pita bread, and in the end they just forgot about us. They say 2-3 minutes, in fact 15-20 minutes. There are a lot of eateries nearby where fish in lavash is tastier, cheaper and with normal service.

I found a place in a guidebook on a banned social network, and it was also shown in heads and tails. As a connoisseur of balyk durum, I will say that it is very mediocre, bland and not salty. The lavash itself is smeared with some kind of fat or oil, everything is falling apart. If you go to the neighborhoods after Galatsky bridge (between the bridge and Galataport), then in small stalls, it will be much tastier. I don't recommend this place.

The fish in the lavash is very tasty, but the service is low. You need to ask for everything several times, they walk around as if you're not there. The menu selection is small. They also took octopolous on the grill, and eventually brought it boiled in a clay pot. You have to come, take the pita bread with the fish hilt and leave.

We came in based on a recommendation. But we didn't like the kitchen. Shawarma with fish is tasteless (it is better to take the one that is cooked nearby, just on the street). We took a vegetable salad: lettuce leaves and chopped carrots, not even watered with ordinary oil. There was no desire to return. And we regretted that we listened to the recommendations and went here, although there are many other restaurants along the way.

Dear friends, many people advise you to look into this place and try the sensational shawarma with fish, I will say the following: a really unusual combination, but no wow effect. The usual kebab story, fried in butter - that is, a fat product as much as possible. A spicy dish, keep that in mind. My mouth is on fire, I still don't understand why, but apparently from the spices poured over the lavash. (P.S. You may be able to warn me to make it less spicy). Otherwise, it's OK. But I repeat, a peculiar combination of tastes. If it's a company, try to take one for several people. In addition: the card payment was completed without any problems.

You will not find Mr. Mario, except as painted. We were there twice, balik durum is very tasty, that's all))) I advise you not to order other dishes, because the amount of expectation-reality does not match. For example, if you order shrimp for 350tl, then it will actually be one cooked shrimp, we ordered 4, so this amount from the menu turned immediately to x4 = 1400tl, i.e. 4200 rubles, mdaa the most expensive 4 shrimp in my life)))) And so I advise you to order a double balyk durum for 290tl, they cook very juicy and delicious!

Delicious fish in pita bread, but the service is lame. Nevertheless, the restaurant must have rules of operation, a charter, but in fact it does not exist. We waited for tea for about an hour, and eventually left after receiving only food. What is the problem? We still haven't figured it out.

Very, very FATTY food, which is impossible to eat! Dirty dishes. We came here on the recommendation of bloggers, a complete disappointment) balik durum is so fat and so many spices that it is even impossible to understand what is inside the fish. We ordered octopus, and we were surprised when they brought us something soaked in fat and in a frying pan! The heads and tails that were here were probably not that with $100, but without any money at all

As for the kitchen, there are no questions, but the desire to cheat is regular. On the first visit, instead of 370 liras, 885 were counted, after asking why they moved out that they confused the bill with another table.By the way, we did not get the change from 400 lira.On the second visit, my wife and I ordered a balik ekmek, the cost of which is 160 liras and potatoes for a child for 150 liras, what was the surprise when the bill turned out to be 900 instead of 470 liras, allegedly they brought us a double ekmek for 290, although even in the price list it is listed as 230 liras...the conclusion is one, check what to pay for, by the way, the owner came out and said 700, although even here it is unclear 230+230+150 = 610, I did not argue, but the sediment remained. So I'm definitely not coming here for the third time.
