Very nice and clean station. The service was pretty nice and the arrangements were good, but i’m surprised of the small size of the statiom for a big city like Tashkent. My passenger experience was great. There were ticket and bagage checks at the entry, and a second ticket check a bit later. I rode the Afrosiyob to Samarkand and loved the trip. O’zbekiston Temir Yo’llari serves complimentary tea and snacks to passengers, plus an extra food cart and a train restaurant. The ride was fast and smooth. I loved my trip. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

The North Train Station in Tashkent is a convenient and well-organized hub for traveling to cities like Samarkand and Bukhara. Trains depart regularly, and the station is easy to navigate, even for first-time visitors. Staff are helpful, and the facilities are clean and comfortable. Very unfriendly railway staff invalidated our tickets, purchased online from the official railway website, and refused us permission to travel. I'm going to refund the tickets to my Visa card. Then the uniformed railway staff tell you that no more trains are running and want to sell you a taxi for 4,000,000 som. Absolutely corrupt, and the tourist police look the other way.

The lobby or waiting room was small and not enough sign in English to guide to platform and no lift for heavy luggage, but sure the cleanness was granted.

It is a small station and it is always crowded. If you are coming from the airport, make sure to use Yandex.Go, other taxi drivers charge very high prices.

Rude people and rude staff. I’m from the uk and I wanted to buy a ticket. Stood in the queue and people just kept pushing in front of me. I asked the security and they did nothing and just said something in their own language. I assume they treated me this way as I didn’t speak their language. Very upsetting as everyone I met in Uzbekistan have been so so kind and respectful In the end just avoid it and buy online that’s what I did and I got my hotel staff to translate.

Why are people still sitting and sleeping in the hot, slow train? Has no one ever collapsed? It’s summer now, and I couldn’t stay in the slow train for longer than a minute. It’s cramped too. I ended up leaving the station and returned the next day to purchase an Afrosiyob ticket instead. The old, overheated train should be banned. It’s inhuman to have people pay to use it. There’s no air-conditioning, the windows are only on one side, and it’s so tight that you can’t even fit your head out.

The service is very good, however my train ride to Samarkand was a great one. I board the Business Class, few minutes into the ride they served breakfast, and asked if I prefer a cup of coffee or tea. Later on they served fresh cut fruits, and I must say it was fresh. The seat was very comfortable, with arms rests, and there is plenty of leg room. The cabin had AC, and Heat, and of course WC just between the train carts. The ride was very smooth, and before you know it I was at Samarkand. What an amazing place, it was my third trip, the two previous ones were by car. Please remember to keep Tashkent and our host country Uzbekistan clean. Best regards

Safe but long trip time on Andijan to Tashkent and backward direction. Comfortable sits, warm cabin in the winter time, but boring tv programs. I switched off all tvs. Need to enrich entertainments.
