The Palace of the Grand Dukes in Luxembourg city is a symbol of power. Initially, a Renaissance-style town hall was built on this site from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century. In the nineteenth century, the duke chose this place as his residence, expanded the palace, building a new wing with rooms for family and guests, including a tower, decorated with spires. The facade of the palace is made in the Neo-Gothic style, arched structures and windows of various shapes give a magnificent architectural appearance, window sills and balconies are made with carved elements. The interior of the palace is even more luxurious, with amazing tapestries on the walls, the knights' hall is painted with coats of arms, the ceilings are decorated with gilding, the reception hall is decorated with beautiful chandeliers, large mirrors, and inlaid parquet floors. Currently, the offices of the grand dukes are located in the palace, meetings are held in the halls on the ground floor, the heads of other states are located in the palace as guests, and the ballroom is used for banquets. The spectacular ceremonial guard in the person of Luxembourg army soldiers, as well as the changing of the guard, always attracts the attention of tourists. The palace is not only a center of administrative management, but also an object of Luxembourg's cultural heritage.

A place where there are always a lot of tourists, in the city center. In August, you can book an excursion with a visit to the Grand Duke's Palace when the Grand Duke is on vacation. There is a very good cafe opposite the palace, which serves delicious chocolate. And unusual lamps that display human emotions.
