The Market Church of George and Jacob is the central building of the historical part of Hanover. It is laconic, like all Protestant churches, and somewhat gloomy in the Gothic style. There aren't many parishioners inside, but there is an organ and a beautiful altar. Nearby is a statue of Martin Luther, the founder of Protestantism. It's not a masterpiece, but you can visit it.
