When I read about this church not in the most popular guidebook, I immediately wanted to see it. It's a very interesting place. Not far from Montparnasse station, behind Plaza Catalunya. Tourists rarely come here. It looks like a traditional building, but there are many unusual and very beautiful things inside. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century, so steel structures were used inside in addition to traditional materials. An organ in the Art Nouveau style, of extraordinary grace and beauty, without excessive embellishment. Unusual sculptures for a church. One of them depicts a young, modest girl, behind whom a man stands and whispers something in her ear, hiding his hands behind his back, some kind of allegory of seduction. Magnificent frescoes on the walls depicting scenes with patron saints of various crafts, it is not for nothing that this is the temple of Our Lady of Labor, and with the image of the patron saint of art, who sleeps, and angels paint a picture for him, one plays the violin behind him. An interesting image of Saint Vincent de Paul, the patron saint of childhood, protecting two homeless children from arrest by their Musketeer patrol. The altar is also dedicated to the theme of labor. Various tools are placed at the foot of the sculpture of the Mother of God. Unusual and impressive.
