The eastern gate of palvan darvaza Ichan-Kala (18th – 19th centuries),. (1835) was renovated in the early 19th century in 1804-06 under Iltuzarkhan. The gate differs significantly from other gates of Ichan –kala, in terms of volume and size. It is no coincidence that the people called them Bagatyr people. A majolica slab with the inscription "Shahri Kheyvak" (Khiva city) has been preserved above the entrance, the numerical value of the letters gives the date of construction – 1221, i.e. 1806 AD. The length of the gate is 52 m., the width is 17.5 m.. The shops are rectangular, their number is extraordinary, 8 on the south side, 11 on the north side.

These gates take us from the Old Khiva to the new one - the avenue leading to the railway station begins from them - a modern wide and spacious street built up with hotels and restaurants. In contrast to the narrow streets of Ichan-Kala, it is very impressive.
