The monument is located in Starostinskaya Sloboda Park, not far from the observation deck on the embankment of the Wars of the Internationalists. The monument was erected in 1999 and dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the poet's birth. It was a gift to Minsk from Moscow. Pushkin visited Minsk in 1824, when he was returning from exile in Mikhailovskoye. Despite the fact that the official road sign ordered him not to deviate from the route, his friends persuaded him to stop by Minsk. It is believed that it was in Minsk that the card game took place, which later formed the basis for writing the "Queen of Spades". The architects of the monument are Grigory and Yuri Orekhov. The monument is not life-size, but larger. Plus, it is installed on an elevation. It looks, in my opinion, very natural and certainly deserves attention. The park itself is green and well maintained. It's a pleasure to walk in it!

However, it is not very clear how the great poet's life path is connected with Minsk. Beautiful view of the bend of the Svisloch river. A quiet place. Suitable for romantic dates and photo shoots. Wonderful location
