An amazing place! A very majestic Temple that hovers over Old Jerusalem. You can say that there is a whole bunch of interesting places and everything is just a stone's throw away! Firstly, the temple itself and the Dormition Monastery are a very beautiful and majestic structure (from the outside) and stunningly cozy inside. The Catholic church, but it reminded me more of the Greek Orthodox churches. The place of the Assumption of the Virgin is amazingly marked in the crypt (Mary did not die in Ephesus at all) - and you can feel it after millennia. We had a large group of Catholic Christians from India with us, they sang amazingly in the crypt! Next to the Temple there is the Grave of King David the Psalmist (there is a trick - the entrances are divided for men and women, we almost went into the men's room - we were politely but firmly wrapped up), on the second floor there is the Chamber of the Last Supper (we didn't find anything particularly interesting there, somehow I couldn't believe it). That's what I regret - we did not go to the Catholic cemetery at the monastery - there is the grave of Fr. Schindler, as a Righteous Man of the world, who watched "Schindler's List" - knows.
