If you are planning a trip to Kazakhstan with a visit to the capital Astana (Nur Sultan), do not miss the new attraction!
The beautiful and super-modern mosque was officially opened on August 12, 2022 and is available to everyone!
Like the mosque itself, "the newest" - everything inside is the same, nothing from the category of "average", only the "best"

At the time of its construction in 2005, Nur Astana was the largest mosque in Kazakhstan and the whole of Central Asia. The building was designed by Lebanese architect Charles Hafiz, and significant financial support was provided by the Government of Qatar. The height of the mosque, measured by the main dome, is 43 meters, but the four snow-white minarets of Nur Astana rise by 62 meters. The area of the mosque is almost 4 thousand square meters, so up to 5 thousand people can pray inside at the same time. In 2021, the mosque was renamed in honor of the medieval thinker and scientist Abu Nasir al-Farabi, but many continue to call it Nur-Astana: this name has been too firmly entrenched for more than 15 years.
