See the weather forecast in advance. Went out at night, came ~ an hour before dawn. We didn't see the dawn, fog and solid milk. But we weren't upset at all-there are a lot of impressions. While we were descending, the fog began to dissipate. If you go into the night, be sure to take a flashlight.Although it is written that the track is illuminated-either it is no longer the season or it is not, we walked (in mid-October) in total darkness. You can't take a step without a flashlight. the climb is difficult, even though you walk along the steps all the way. It's damp in places. They didn't regret it at all. And yes, the temple complex at the very top can be closed, because it is open only 6 months a year..

This place is rarely seen in tourist offers. And there are reasons for that. Namely 5000 steps🙈 And ideally, make the ascent at night. Firstly, it is not so hot, however, it is not hot at all at the top, but even cold, and secondly, dawn comes after night, and from the top of the mountain it is incredibly good. Thirdly, it is easier to descend in the morning in the heat🤣 The locals should climb this peak at least once a year, but not everyone succeeds. They go with families, with children, grandmothers and grandfathers go, they go in slates and barefoot... And that's what's important! If you have started climbing, you must complete it, you cannot return. There is a temple upstairs, supposedly where Buddha/Adam left his mark. At the top of the mountain you will be asked to take off your shoes, so it's better to wear socks. It was difficult for us. Very. But we got up. And they went down. And it turned out to be harder than lifting, my knees creaked in all sorts of ways. But it was worth it.

It is better to watch the dawn from the stairs from the village of Delhusi. The best meditation of my life. I recommend lifting without company, alone. All the best!

An excellent attraction - 1100 m and 5200 steps set, we got up at 6 and got into a hell of a traffic jam, go out strictly earlier, we will climb a picturesque, interesting and not particularly difficult

Wow and Wow again. A very strong place. A test of your body, but it's worth it. If I go back to Sri Lanka, I will definitely go up again. Take care of your knees. If they are sick, strengthen them. I have an injury to one knee and the load is only in a special knee pad, I did not have it with me. I was very sorry when I went down. It is better to climb at night. Take a flashlight, sometimes there is no light in some areas.

The place where every tourist visiting Sri Lanka should get to. You need to arrive the day before, stop at the hotel. All hotels are inhabited by those tourists who came to climb the peak. The ascent begins early in the morning. Hotels have trekking poles, it's better to take them on the rise-it will be easier to walk. The most important thing is to take into account that it will get colder at the top, and in the process of climbing you will warm up in motion. Therefore, it is better to go out light: in shorts, T-shirt and sneakers, while taking a sweatshirt, pants, hat and gloves with you; wear warm clothes as you freeze. It is very windy and cold upstairs. If you go dressed right away, when you climb up, all your clothes will be damp and you can easily catch a cold. Take water and a couple of nutritional bars with you in your backpack. The ascent is difficult, you can rest along the way. There are several tea breaks. The later you get out and walk slower, the more people will get in your way, so it's better to get out as early as possible and give your best, resting only after walking 3/4 of the way. There will be a lot of people upstairs, everyone is taking a place to meet the dawn. After sunrise, you can start the way back, it will be much easier and faster) upon arrival at the hotel, you can deservedly drink a bottle of Lion beer, well, or a mug of Sri Lankan tea. After that, you can move back to the coast)

Very beautiful places. It's a long way from the hotel (more than 3 hours), but the nature of Sri Lanka is worth it. We took an individual tour, it's very convenient, you don't wait for anyone, you can adjust the route and time, photos and videos wherever you want. The surrounding poverty is a bit annoying, but unfortunately it is everywhere in Sri Lanka. In addition to visiting Adam's Peak, the tour included a train ride over the 9th arch bridge, which was the worst part. Because the train was packed, we stood in the crush and heat for about 15 minutes, we didn't see anything. Then they brought us to this bridge by car, tuk tuk and on foot. Beauty! In general, except for the train - 5 out of 5.

It was raised in April 2024. Firstly, of course, the climb was disappointing, since judging by the reviews, it should have taken longer to climb)) it is very beautiful at the top, especially to meet the dawn, but it is cold, take warm clothes, one sweater is not enough, especially if you are going to dawn and you will need to wait for it. I really liked the descent down, indescribable impressions, the nature is simply gorgeous

It's a great place! But I can tell you right away, it's not just a walk. You need to understand that you will have to stomp up the stairs 8 km uphill, with a climb of 1 km. Watch the weather. No precipitation is the key to cool views. There are toilets and cafes every 159-200 m. It is better to start climbing at 2 a.m. You'll be there in time for dawn. At the top (where the temple is)You can't launch the quadcopter, you can't take it off either.

This is a mountain on top of which there is a temple built around a footprint. This place is a holy place for many pilgrims of different religions — Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and Christianity, so be prepared, you will not be alone there. And if the ambient temperature is more than 36-40 degrees, then this is a good test.

I was 50 at the time. And my wife and I don't like couch vacations, BUT!!!! Read about the difficulties in advance (the descent is even more difficult, by the way) Not our religion. And there 's no point in raping yourself to check the box . After climbing for three days (I do a little sports in the city.... there, other mice are "trying" to work...))) I could barely get up and down the steps in the hotel. The view (if you're lucky with the weather) is no better than at other high points in Sri Lanka... Come down already in the heat!!! Tip: you need to go down diagonally, running... not in a straight line...(again, on the descent, other muscles begin to work- untrained at all) there, the steps are often not formatted - 50-70 cm long for two steps... Of course, until you can (you won't) You won't believe Zen in this place... I was there back in 2017, I wouldn't have gone, I wouldn't have lost ANYTHING

Tourists don't go! I don't recommend the place. The way up is one big staircase. There are questionable shops around, the atmosphere of the market. The locals are shouting and gawking unkindly. You feel unsafe and uncomfortable. There's literally a dump waiting for you at the top, it smells like a toilet. The top itself has been built up with some kind of fences, nature is not visible.

Wow! This is an unforgettable event in my Life! It is difficult to climb. But there are people with crutches and small children walking nearby. They go, they sing songs, encouraging themselves and everyone nearby. The higher you go, the more magnificent the views open up! Beauty! And the steps are steeper and steeper! She walked the last 200 steps like a rag doll. But I could! I am very glad of that! You can stay the night upstairs, which many people do. Heat. The main thing is to take something to lie down on! Let's go, my friends!

We got to the Buddha's day! There were a lot of people, coffee and cookies were served at every step. It is very warm at the foot, do not get dressed earlier. It gets windy and cold closer to the peak, it's better to wear a jacket here. Take a raincoat, the weather is not predictable.

Climbing all the way up the concrete stairs. There are shops and cafes on the way. There is no feeling that you are climbing to the top. It's like walking down the hallway.

It's a beautiful location, the main thing is to arrive early, while no one is there. Very beautiful views. I returned to Sri Lanka this year. I will definitely visit this most interesting two-day excursion.

7km of stairs, get ready. There is a Buddhist temple on top - they walk there barefoot at an air temperature of about 18 degrees (February). Along the way, there will be signs with numbers from 20 to 1. These are garbage cans, "how much further is there to go" can be understood by them, the unit is at the top. Tea comes in great along the way, by the way. Anyway, it's beautiful there, there will be something to take pictures on the descent, and people will run away quickly. In general, do not take a lot of things with you - water, a jacket, money

The place is picturesque, it is not difficult to climb on foot. The photos are beautiful, but it's far enough to fly there to this Sri Lanka. You can go for fun. It is located in the interior of the island.

We went there in a rented car. Why does no one write what a dead road there is. A bunch of locals who go there. All the drunks are riding the buses. Everywhere there is a stench, exhaust fumes, a stench. We even reached the village 600 m short, huge traffic jams while making our way to the place of overnight stay. I can't even imagine what's going on on the rise. They turned around and barely left. These huge buses are climbing on a narrow path. For the locals, this is an attraction . Tourists definitely have nothing to do there! Think a thousand times before you go there. Children are out of the question. There are a lot of laudatory reviews on Google , apparently they are written by local residents . And most of them were written in covid, when maybe there were no people.
