The airport terminal, a historical building located in the center of Almaty, reminds the indigenous people of Almaty of those good times when the country's leadership, headed by Dimash Akhmetovich Kunaev, took care to create the maximum possible convenience for people. The luxurious terminal building allowed passengers to check in and take buses from the city center to the plane ramp. But everything has passed... circumstances have changed, and the attitude towards people has changed. Now, instead of a thorough solution to the problems of a multiply increased passenger traffic, the leadership of the city, the country, prefers to erect temporary glass hangars at the International Airport to the short airport building, calling them Terminals. And the terminal building has lost its relevance, it was removed from the list of architectural monuments of the city and the premises are rented to entrepreneurs engaged in trade and maintenance of mobile equipment. And the building of the former airport terminal, its architecture and geolocation are unique and deserve a better fate, especially the pedestrian arbat, Zhibek Zholy, approached the terminal building. But it's God's will, and the decision on the future fate of the terminal building is in private hands. Maybe the owner of the building will show patronage and give the airport terminal building to the city???
