In summer, there is a beautiful veranda overlooking Panfilova Street and the Opera House. The most picky special guests were brought here, and everything was always done at a decent level.

But they can also exchange a few words, cheer up, and - if necessary - transfer to a more cozy vacant table. About the food. The chef's experiments are successful, he constantly adds new dishes to the menu, and takes care of the old ones he likes. At breakfast, these are legendary cheesecakes, from the summer and daytime menu, I liked shrimp with curry and trout with zucchini. It is fresh, original, pleasant both in taste and texture. It is the attention to all these details that distinguishes the Poster and makes it a truly excellent institution.

For whom coffee is the basis of the day, do not go here. I've given this place a chance 3-4 times. But it's true, well, very bad coffee. In the kitchen, 4 out of 10. I haven't tried all the positions, I can't assure you. But everything I tried was very mediocre. The staff are very pleasant and polite, the interior design is good and the locations are good. We took a salad and a couple of syringes. Not cheap, of course. The check turned out to be 16 k tenge for two.

After attending the ballet on Saturday evening, my wife and I decided to visit this institution.
We were greeted very kindly, pleasantly surprised by the presence of a table on the balcony of the second floor without prior reservation.
The atmosphere of old Alma-Ata in the interior of the institution, which is again very pleasant.
The service is not intrusive, polite, the waiter knows all the menu items perfectly and was ready to help with the selection.
I especially want to note that they did not plan to have dinner, but simply ordered tea with dessert, usually in such popular establishments they try to impose main dishes, alcohol, etc., here they were pleased with the absence of such.
Tea is nothing special. Desserts are very decent. I put 5 out of 5 for the service and atmosphere, I definitely plan to visit this place again, this time with a full dinner.

I came to the restaurant to celebrate a landmark event. At first, I really liked everything, the hostess meeting me, the waiter speaking English. They planted it and immediately offered water, which pleased me. It was also nice to receive a compliment from the chef in the form of a snack with butter. However, then there was a disappointment. Rotti with eel was not at all impressed, as if I was chewing an incomprehensible consistency with a bad combination of flavors. Maybe this is my subjective feeling, and if I were in a different state, maybe I would like it. Well, plus the size is funny, a child's portion :) Tea also loses out on all indicators to other excellent establishments. Dessert (specifically honey cake) turned out to be completely tasteless, the taste of cheap butter is clearly felt, I couldn't even finish eating. And when the bill was brought, it turned out that the originally offered water was provided for money. Well guys, paid water is a bad thing, I'd better go to other places where the water is free. This is clearly endearing. And you didn't even warn me that the water is paid. Although inexpensive, it is still very unpleasant. I don't want to go back anymore:(

A very beautiful and pretentious place with impeccable service.
The food looks great, but the portions are very small (three dishes are barely enough even for a petite girl) and it does not taste like a masterpiece of gastronomy. I ordered pasta with meat stew and parmesan mousse, so half of this stew turned out to be meat fat. I don't say anything about tea at all — black tea in this institution means one bag of Assam, which does not even color a liter of boiling water, into which it is "thrown". However, the author's cocktails are divine — there is nothing to find fault with.
The service is impeccable and all the disadvantages are trying to do this. The waiters are very attentive and know the menu well, so if anything, they will help you navigate when choosing a dish.
In the end, it turns out that this place is suitable for everyone who plans to just spend the evening with a glass of wine and a cheese plate, but no more. Although, perhaps, this is the essence of such author's restaurants.

I do not know why this place is considered a cult (for example, my wife). But how many times I've been here, I haven't seen anything special. The place is not bad, the interior is good, the food is good, but I think it's a little overrated. The service seems to be normal, but it was like in paradise several times (and this is not a compliment.). The price and quality, in my opinion, were three.
