A beautiful and well-maintained park. We enjoyed walking for more than two hours. We took a taxi from Samarkand. 500-600 sums. A beautiful road through the pass. There is a very tasty and popular cafe on the pass, where meat is cooked in a tandoor. Great view. I highly recommend it

The park is beautiful, the ruined castle is also normal, and the wall around it is half made of cypress and tar on top of a real wall, half made of clay mixed with hay and piles of construction debris.
A COUPLE of mosques and old trees...
BUT IT'S DEFINITELY NOT WORTH GOING THERE FOR 2 HOURS OR MORE.
The road through the mountain pass from Samarkand seems to be beautiful. But every stone on it is painted with clumsy inscriptions. Like, "Vasya was here" and the like. Dirty roadsides, mountains of garbage.
The place where they shot some kind of movie in the old days is even worse... there are a lot of people who also relieve themselves in these painted stones...
the rocks and stones themselves have a bizarre shape. And the views are not bad.... but I advise you to stay in the mountains and travel there. There will obviously be something more interesting than a park with 2 pillars and a couple of mosques.

A grandiose, incredible-scale structure, the memory of the great Timur. Unfortunately, there is little left of the magnificent Emir's palace. It is worth getting from Samarkand, especially since the road through the pass is very picturesque, although not of the best quality.

An impressive place just an hour and a half drive from Samarkand! The grandeur of the building is breathtaking, you can watch the reconstruction on YouTube, the bend of the former arch remains a little on the skeletons.

Plus: a centuries-old landmark.
Cons: The park is paid. The toilet is paid. The museum is paid. There is no place to hide from the scorching sun in a huge area

A beautiful park, but everything was ruined by the weather and the lack of raincoats on sale on the territory, an inflated price for a car guide who is not a guide at all, but just a carrier on the territory took 100,000 soums per person and at the end demanded more for a simple one., you also need to be careful at the pass, do not trust your guides and ask the price We ate a flatbread salad and 2 small pieces of mutton on the bones, tea and gave 270,000 soums, which is very expensive for such a set, considering that the meat was 300 grams maximum, taking into account the bones. (Unfortunately, I did not remember the name of the cafe, it is located on the pass)

The pylons of the arch of the Ak-Sarai Palace amaze with their greatness! And this is only a small part of what happened before. But even this remaining part is impressive. This is the place of power and glory of Amir Timur.

The place is ancient, very ancient buildings from the time of Amir Timur, a large area for walking, there is a toilet, a cafe, and bicycle rental as well as golf cars. Entrance is paid, but the cost is not great

A cool atmospheric place. There is a very large park, there are benches and gazebos around. The gate to Aksaray is amazing. It is a pity that they have not reached our time in integrity and safety. Feel free to plan a walk for 2.5 hours.

It's a beautiful place. Especially if you know the history of Shakhrisabs from the time of Tamerlane. Very grandly and with Great respect.

I went to Shakhrisabs on purpose, although I had already been there before. It's not crowded yet, and it doesn't look like much compared to Samarkand. But it is the sincerity, not the pomposity of the restoration, as in Samarkand, and the slowness of contemplation that captivates... it is really a place of reflection on the greatness of man

What remains of the majestic palace of Amir Timur. The 52m high pylons are fascinating, and what Ak Saray (White Palace) was many centuries ago is described in the fairy tales 1000 and one night

These pylons are all that has been preserved from the grandiose palace...The place is atmospheric, but the inspection fee is too high. However, you can enter from the park for free.

Antiquity, history, eternity. There's nothing else to watch. In order not to pay for the entrance- and there is nothing to pay for, go to the ticket booth on the road to the left or through the park to the right. 👍
