Akorda is not just a presidential residence, it is a real "white house" in the heart of Kazakhstan, only not American, but local and much more majestic. It stands on the left bank of the Ishim River, as the guardian of everything official and solemn, and even shines as if it is daily polished by angels. And this building with a dome 80 meters high is like a castle from a fairy tale about the new time of khans and sultans. They say, live, people, you have a house, and the president has this luxury.
A special feature of Akorda is its dome with a high spire, on which the sun and a steppe eagle flaunt. Well, just a direct reminder that Kazakhstan is a country of steppes and great expanses.
