The views are amazing. It's worth going up. Now for the details. We stopped at the beginning of the ascent by taxi (500 rubles from the station of New Athos). We paid 300 rubles for an adult and 150 rubles for a student at the entrance. We started climbing at 8 a.m. local time. There were still few people on the mountain, 2.3 people met. The road is different, mostly stones in the ground. It is better to climb in sneakers. There are no thorny bushes on the road. Along the way there are places for photos, various remains of fortress walls and platforms with views. At the top are the remains of fortifications and a restored Genoese Tower. A decent wooden staircase leads to the top of the tower.

It was difficult for me to get there because of the heat, August is not the best time to visit this attraction. But it was worth it - the mesmerizing panorama, the delicious water in the holy spring, and the interesting temple that the pilgrims had self-organized (as can be seen from the mismatched icons). And the fig tree, which is a symbol of the Trinity - how does it live with such a trunk?

We walked steadily for about an hour. Without cutting everything as it should along the route. The views are gorgeous. I definitely recommend you to visit! It's a long way to go to the top and fun, but there are benches. There is no shop at the end, but there is a well. At your own risk. They don't seem to have been poisoned. It's a pleasure to go down
