I figured that two hours for a photo shoot in the amphitheater at sunset would be enough for my eyes, and it was a mistake. It turned out that there was a whole lost world there, well preserved, untouched by archaeologists and not traditionally broken up into bricks by locals. You can spend three or four hours exploring the nooks and crannies with interest, admiring the views and trying to figure out what and how they lived here. They write about 20,000 people at their peak, but even if you take 5,000 people in an amphitheater, it's completely unclear where they lived, you can't see any ruins of houses, or, in general, a place for them. Despite the fact that many public buildings have been preserved perfectly (the theater, the gymnasium and the strange Odeon without windows). Large, well-fitted stones at a height of a thousand meters look powerful, beautiful and mysterious, And it is also unclear where the aqueduct destroyed by the earthquake could lead there. There is very little information. Keep in mind that you need to put 15 minutes on the ascent and another on the descent. There are two roads leading up, the left one is shorter, but there is nothing on it, apparently you need to choose the right one. I was particularly impressed by the Odeon, the Corinthian temple and the entrance to the theater (at the bottom right of the stage). Everything is pretty well marked up on maps.me There are ruins of megalithic buildings along the access road towards the end, don't miss it.

You can only get there by car (or taxi). We saw pedestrians on the way, but I don't know if they were able to walk. It's a very atmospheric place. There are few people, you can take good view photos. When traveling there, take water (there is no infrastructure there except for paths and signs) and set aside more time to get around everything. If you go off the trail, then wear suitable shoes.
