To my remark that "maybe it should have been treated first before closing the sterile preparation with a dirty lid?", she said that contamination did not have time to occur. But we're not at uni, the 5-second rule doesn't work in life. And I don't think that if she had been sitting at the doctor's office by herself, and the nurse had dropped clean instruments in front of her and violated her sterility, that she would have allowed herself to be injected.
